Budget Car Rental

$100 for 3 days awesome. Had to extend by one day and they charged me an extra $155. When I called in they apologized and said theyd fix it then hung up on me. Called again, next agent was very rude and said he had no idea and he cant do anything. Called 3rd time and they said theyd open an investigation and refund me if I'm in the right. Still never got money back 3 weeks later.In short, their low rates are a scam and try to entrap you into spending more money that you have no chance in getting back.

I don't usually post reviews, but I have to share my experience.Talking to the customer service has been ok. People were generally nice, but they have been telling me different things which lead me to pay twice the amount I was supposed to pay.I had called about my dropping off my car after hours and was told that I would only need to pay 20$ for that particular charge.So I thought sure, I don't mind paying the 20$.I then dropped off the keys and headed back home.The next day, I called them just to make sure that everything was ok (because I read online that I needed to give my contract agreement or something). They could not find my file anywhere, and kept asking me if I didn't book it using some other company. I was also told at the place that I dropped off the keys that they did not have my keys for some reason.I had called two other Budget places and they told me the same thing where they could not find my file (they even said usually they can find it because it would stay in their system for 6 months), but they couldn't.Finally, I give them my rental agreement number and they found it saying that they are charging me two days since there was no one checking the car during off-hours".Well

So I made the mistake of paying online for a rental, let me be clear nowhere on there site in the sections you see when renting do these crooks state you will be charged an additional 350 security hold on your card. I checked my card and made sure I had room for the rental, all was good payed the fees and then when I call to make sure everything is good I get this information. This is a disgusting way of doing business. I tried my hardest to work with them but they were not willing to make common sense modifications. I suggested taking the remaining amount off my card to equal the 350....nope, I said I can easily pay the entire rental 5x times over in cash or debit....nope I tied everything to savage the rental they were not able or willing to try. To not inform people of this charge or hold is garbage business IMO and I am shocked that today people operate like this and are unwilling to accomplish the same exact thing just in a different manner.

I dealt with Atif and the service was amazing. I highly recommend this business and will use Budget/Avis for my next vehicle rental.

Horrible experience, and I rent cars all the time.Didn't have the car we requested (small), pushed us to take a minivan for 2 people. Asked for help on the price, nadda. Staff had on old dirty hoodie, not a Budget or Avis staff shirt. Reeked of smoke and run down building, no inventory of cars, and overall extremely rude staff. Did my best to give them options and ideas, no help.So, we went to National at the airport - which is just around the corner - where the staff was great and we saved about 30%. Save yourself the 2 hrs and find another option.

I called the store and no one picked up. It directed me to the main line; after an hour I confirmed the reservation with customer service. I was informed I would receive a confirmation and charge on my credit card. After 24-hrs no such information was provided via email or text. I spoke with three different representatives who said they could not find the booking. So, I attempted to book another car the day before I required the vehicle. It was $100.80 with my first booking and an additional $100 deposit. However, I was informed the prices were actually $210 with a $350 deposit. This company is beyond fraudulent and the prices online or on the phone do not reflect the in-store bottom-line. If you book here you'll be paying more then you expected. I'm still concerned someone has my credit card information and I'm filing a complaint with the CAFC.

Reserved a vehicle online and the total cost was around $280. When I went to pick my vehicle up, the price had increased to over $400 and they said they also needed a $750 security deposit as well? The woman I spoke with was friendly, but they just are not transparent with the prices at all, seems like a scam. I will always rent with enterprise now that I know how some other car rental places operate.

Unreasonable manager, but the other guy was okay. The manager was belligerent with my husband when disputing an unreasonable additional charge of $200 when we returned the car with a small amount of dog hair. The charge is not listed in the rental contract and we were never told beforehand that there would be a $200 cleaning charge. We will never rent from Budget/Avis again. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

Atif was working the day we went in to pick up our car. He was courteous, friendly, and up front with all the details of our rental. Our vehicle was clean and ran perfectly. Our experience was perfect. Thank you Atif!
