I'm going to share my entire experience with the courthouse and the RCMP for the benefit of others. Initially I called the police to ask for a peace bond, they told me that because I was seeking the peace bond against a brother in law that it was a family matter so I needed to apply for a family protection order. I went to the courthouse at 10am, filled out the order and waited in the courthouse until 4pm for the judge to tell me that a brother in law isn't considered my family and that the family protection order wasn't viable in my case. I called the RCMP, the same people who told me to apply for the family protection order and then they said to apply for a peace bond. I was already in the courthouse for six hours. Why didn't anyone tell me then? The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing

you're on hold for hours to each anyone at Civil Claims. It will take days to get a response via email, hours (almost a fully day on hold) to get in touch with someone. Our legal system is not accessible to all. Very poor. More staff is required to handle the volume.

The lady at the front is so rude for no reason. Like if you don’t like your job it’s not our fault. Made me wait 40 min for her to “be right back” then told me to go home and grab two pieces of picture ID. When I come back they tell me they can’t help me because they are going to close soon it was 6:25 and it closes at 7. Just need help filling out a single paper

90 percent of CPS cases involve poverty issues..poverty id neglect in the ministry and courts eyes-If you are male and cant afford an.expensive lawyer you have more than a 90.percent chance of an unequal amount of parenting time from. This court house..Appeals will. Likely have the same result if you. Cant afford rhe very expensive fees-to obtain evidence from. Private non unionized companies providing transcript services as wellThe ministry directly pays doctors lawyers and can pay these and other so called professionals to support theirdecisions which have been proven.to.neglect race and the poorer clients and families and children they are supposed to be protecting but are instead neglecting with substandard low cost care any child pulled from. A loving family will be traumatized for life that fact is ignored overlooked and the parents are denied supports in most cases but the wealthier family recieves-supports. This probably saves money but neglects children. Regardless statistically it has been proven to be racially unfair and unequally affect classes of people thus many decisions must be fabricated lies that the court accepts as factThis courthouse needs jury not judge and a 50 50 male female staffTheDirector for the ministry a lawyer needs to be changed for every case to a new lawyer transcripts need to be free to. Low income People same with service costs which can be expensive over time.Every SW out there must take a course where they spend time every day with low income people to understand poverty and avoid neglecting those people in the courts.BC courts serve the wealthy very well but neglect the. Less wealthy with inequality of service generally cost should be based on percentage of income not flat rates same for poor and wealthy people.I have experienced the entire family. Law system. CPS and appeals system in BC and i can say that low income working poor are very disadvantaged by the system. Even excluding all the lost time costs. The facts of the case don,t matter if you cant afford to purchase them..

I have been phoning for a week and no one is answering the phone. Is it right that they offer this service and they don't have the resources to handle the job they offer. And also they offer bad information which might cost me the court case, I might loose the court case because of their bad management. The staff at the small claims court are not doing their job. Very disappointing.

No evidence needed. Guilty unless you have substantial evidence that you're guilty. Less of a chance you're not guilty if you're a person of colour.Crown listens to anyone who says the other person is guilty without evidence. Majority of cases I know of thay have gone through here have been false accusations where the accuser was guilty, pointing fingers at someone else. Accuser got off free and they always seem to press charges on the innocent party. If a narcissist was a person. It would be this place.
