Nice place to visit in the weekend if you are driving by or visit downtown Port Perry. Good food, good service but ok ish atmosphere.

it's not only this location but all of the Halibut house locations have a quite outdated settings. if they revamp the settings, seating and possible some music I think it can be an amazing place again.

Didn't get any food. We left after 35 minute wait. Customers who came in ten minutes later ordered same breakfast. Served before us and others who?had already been waitingToo bad. Might have been a nice place. Rude.

Stopped here on our way home from being in Peterborough and were pleasantly surprised at this location. The fish was very crispy and tasty. Reasonable price since you get a massive portion and it remained crispy for several hours of our trip since we snacked on it slowly. Very surprised! Thanks for the delicious meal.

Halibut House Fish & Chips
We had not been here in years, decided to come back...now having regrets. Seafood chowder (served lukewarm) tasted like powdered chicken stock with corn starch, and a few shards of fish....it used to be so much better. Fish was hot, tasty, but quite oily. Salad was just ok. There are two other fish restaurants in this town, next time we will likely try one of the others.

Halibut House Fish & Chips
I don’t remember visiting a Halibut House fish and chips before and this is the first one I did and I am glad. Not only everything we ordered came perfect but what completely blew me away is the interior decor. It almost feels like a giant greenhouse with matured Banana, bamboos, lemon and Guava plants, which has very soothing effect on you. I have never seen a guava plant that too laden with ripe fruits in this part of the world. Owner is definitely a plant lover and have incorporated it in the decor of the restaurant, Kudos!If there were 10 stars available I would have happily given it to this location!!

This place is different from the places in Oshawa so far the staff were friendly approachable caring and coffees Good attention there other stuff is amazing place is clean atmosphere is great guaranteed you'll never eat enough you'll be too full the fish itself is not greasy find the batter to be perfect fries cooked to perfection everything's there for you tartar sauce and malt vinegar vinegar coleslaw was good it's worth the drive out there try it. I took pics. Of the restroom because there was someone complaining that there was no handicap access with the bathrooms as you can clearly see there is

Great customer service! Very friendly and welcoming. Fish was delicious but their fries were oily and a bit hard.
