Reach For The Stars Montessori

All our children completed RFTS, with our 3rd child just finalizing the program this June. We are so happy to have selected this Montessori and would highly recommend it to anyone else. Its professionally managed and the teachers have all been wonderful. This kids all enjoyed their time at the school and loved the experience.

We've been so happy with the help and support this organization has given to our family, but most importantly, our children. We really wanted a Montessori start for our children because, as educators, we value this approach very much. Our children were registered ahead of their start dates and neither of them were ready" to begin the programmes (one toddler and the other for pre-school). We understood this may be the case when we registered so early. This was noted on the application and registration packages. As such

We are very happy that our son is going to this daycare. He loves going there everyday to see his friends and teachersI am amazed at how much he has learned from the teachers and how much he has change since he started going here.We would definitely recommend this daycare to anyone who asks!

We’ve been really happy with our experience here. I truly feel that the teachers care about my son, and want good things for him. They send him home with little crafts they’ve done for him, and when we ask him about his friends at school, he always brings them up. It’s really sweet. On the learning side, his language has exploded since he started here. He’s 2.5 and using full sentences, which feels really impressive to us. All in all, we’re really happy with our decision to send our son here.

I had the same experience as the other reviewers on there. We lost over $1500 in deposit due to the fact that our son wasn't able to walk by the time that he hit one years old. I think that requirement should be illegal since it guarantees that a certain percentage of the reservations will never be valid. The whole place seems to be built around older toddlers, it has sharp edges on the shelfs etc and it's really not safe for infants who are still crawling.The teachers seems nice when I visited but management is a real pain to deal with, there's absolutely no way to reach them via phone and emails are not responded to promptly. The facilities are not that clean... when my son played around there a bit for the tour his feet were completely black with soot from the dirty floors. In general, for infants I would highly recommend to stay away, it's more expensive and has less hours than my current daycare and costs $100/month more. Infant (1yos) really won't get the benefit of a montessori program, maybe it'll be valuable after 2yo. It's more important for 1yos to be safe and clean.

The tour at this daycare itself was very unpleasant and discouraging. The teacher who gave me the tour did not seem interested in giving a tour or genuinely tried explaining how the daycare is like. The emails with the principal was frustrating as her attitude was like take it or leave it". Also

Our son had (and will have more) great experience at RFTS. He was so supported and loved by the teachers. The school is very inclusive and has diverse student/family body. The administration is professional, kind, compassionate and very responsive. Our neighbors’ all 3 kids also went there and loved their experience.

We really enjoyed being part of the Reach for the Stars family for the past two years at the Kitsilano campus. My son is so fortunate to have such dedicated and caring teachers not only educating in academics (we are surprised how much he learns at school), but more importantly shaping his character to be polite, respectful and courteous.

Helena goes beyond expectation, showing kindness and providing assistance to help accommodate her pupils. These old fashion values mean the world today and consequently set the standard of care that Reach For The Stars Montessori instils towards caring for our little ones.

This place asks for deposits and then when your baby not walking keeps your hard earned money because they don’t want babies and want to keep your hard earned $$.Be careful of the many positive and glowing reviews that are done by the owner with only few reviews from obviously very fake account.Like anywhere buyer beware especially when it involves your most precious baby and entrusting them when they have these types of values. You do wonder if they are willing to be untruthful, manipulative, taking people deposits what else are they willing to do?
