Bonnechere Provincial Park
A beautiful area on the Bonnechere River. There's equipment to borrow and rent, including canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, and crockles (little flying saucer sleds, but for the water!) Also a gift shop with snackies and souvenirs. The staff are exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back with the family and will recommend to anyone who will listen! Camping passes and day rates available.

The sites at River Loop are excellent - many have private access to the river! Other facilities are brand new, and the beach is enormous. The campgrounds are quite busy and loud (I know, I know...goes with the territory for car camping). We also paddled Bonnechere a ways up - beautiful winding river. My main complaint is that there was no comfort station at our campground - had to walk to the main one at the beach :(

Lovely campsites on the cute little Bonnecher river. 2 picnic tables at each site was nice. Lots of trees right near the beach made for good shade cover. Lots of frogs, snakes and wildlife for the kiddos. My kids and I loved it, I would camp there again.

Beautiful spot, spacious sites, lots of wildlife, creeks, ponds and trails. Dog friendly beaches nearby, however not on site. Overall had a fantastic time !!

Camped here for the first time and had a great time. Beautiful park, clean, responsive staff made us feel comfortable during our stay. Only thing we didn't love was cleaning the sap off the vehicle and camp stuff after. Part of nature of course but a first for us to experience to this extent. Alot of it was caused from the chipmunks throwing down pinecones to go collect, be prepared they hit hard from that height! Luckily we had tarp over tent for the rainy forecast so no cleanup of tent necessary. Had a river site and launching kayaks from the site was great. There are many places to launch if not having a river site. Paddling along the river and the lake was breathtaking. Our new favorite place.

We stayed at the river loop campground from September 9th - 11th. There wasn't anyone at the office upon arrival, so we took a map from the box outside and found our way to our campsite. Campsites are spacious and what we especially liked was that each one had two picnic tables, where as most parks only have one. We had 5 people and our two friends had the site next to us, so it was nice to be able to have them over at our site to eat with plenty of space. The beach is really nice. We were surprised at how shallow the water is so far out, but it was nice. Park store staff were friendly and the store itself had a lot more selection than some provincial park stores do. I'll also add that when I contacted them via Facebook messenger prior to our stay, I got a speedy response which was appreciated as well. If you're looking for stuff to do outside of the park, gariepy creek falls is just a 14 minute drive away and makes for a nice short hike.

What a place just fantastic, it’s worth driving 350+ km from Toronto. Superb playground for kids and everyone. Camping site is also just perfect. Camp has all the amenities- electricity (not all site) clean washrooms, shower area and coin laundry. Beach site is clean, water level are just perfect for all age people to have fun . The beach has beach mats for easier movement with walkers, wheelchairs, or strollers. The best part are the Ontario Parks staff they are so helpful and hardworking.

Bonnechere is a very nice provincial park. Well maintained, safety patrolled, great beach for kids, and is the most accessible park I've seen.Although the campsites were very nice, it lacked that special flair for me. So, I may not go back and will continue exploring new places.Oh, and make sure to pack an extension cord because you'll need it for this park.

This seems to be much more of a campsite than park, but what we saw was nice. There are a few fees (entrance and vehicle fees) that may be required, but it wasn't clear if this was only for campers, or if it includes those who just want to pop in. The main detraction was that there didn't seem to be many paths or places to walk if you weren't camping. There's also a camp store, lots of eco-toilet bathrooms (there may be some with plumbing, but as we were just going for a quick visit we didn't have occasion to find out), a nice beach with a demarcated swimming area, boat launch and volleyball net. Lastly, the staff we talked to were pleasant.
