Elections Ontario

Came to 1331 Neilson Rd for voting at 2:30pm and still in line. It’s a mismanagement. Only one person!!! working here which causes more than an hour for 15 people line up. Elections Ontario doesn’t have any idea and data when people come to give vote like weekend or weekdays. That means they don’t have any research, just doing like a Clark. They put only one person in the voting room. As discussed with person here, mentioned weekdays 4 people managed the bating room even there were very less people came for voting and weekend only person because lots of people will come. I think government required to fire all existing employees of Elections Ontario and hire new employees who will capable to manage elections properly. In addition we have to pay parking based on hour. So, current employees have lack of knowledge to choose places. Lots of voter got angry and left the place without voting. Overall, very poor management at Scarborough locations.

Nice work environment and easily accessible location.

Why are voters being charged for parking at the Sheraton hotel for early voting? Sounds like voter suppression.

I went to the location 1333 Neilson Road early voting center.A long que was there, and couple of people went back without voting, among them some pregnant women, and disable person too, because they were waiting more than a hour.Me and my husband were waiting after 25 people on the que, and decided to not voting.As it was an weekend, so we were available for early voting.Since I have work for other weekdays even the election days too. Both of us has to run for work to get food onto our table.This is very unfortunate that the voting arrangement was very poor.

I had a polling station at public school at 80 Thorncliffe Park Drive. I had this kind of experience the first tine. The staff (i am 100% they are from desi community). are very bossy. I steeped in the main room i was with my spouse and i turned towarda her the man sranding by the door orderd me to stand here (they have a prejudiced mindset towards this area) and the woman who gave us the ballot papers are bossy as well i asked her am i supposed to put cross or check mark, she replied I already told yoi put a cross as if ahe is my school principal back home. They thouht we are afghanis and traat them in a bad way like they do in other walks of life."
