Me and my children joined Gracie Barra Port Coquitlam a little over 3 years ago. It has been such an amazing gym to train in. The professors and coaches are top notch. They are patient and caring with my children. Teaching them discipline and jiu-jitsu fundamentals in a safe, clean, amazing environment. It's not only a gym in training facility. It's also a second home and family. Also Gracie Barra is a top awarded Academy and their teaching style is focused and curriculum is very well organized. Anybody wanting to train jujitsu at any age and any skill level you need to come and try Gracie Barra Port Coquitlam!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDI Joined Gracie Barra Port Coquitlam in December and have been enjoying every bit of it. The professors, coaches & students make you feel welcomed from Day 1 and treat you like family. Everyone helps each other to grow and learn. The facility in itself is always well maintained and clean.I always look forward to the next day of training at GB PoCo.

I am brand new to Jujitsu, starting up with this school has been an absolutely amazing experience. Everyone really makes you feel welcome and like family. They start out teaching you the basics, and the team makes sure you have a great experience out of the gate. You feel confident when you're getting out of your comfort zone that you wont get hurt.

Background: mid 40s, husband, father, previous training in other disciplines, then dabbled with BJJ and trained in a few other schools but dropped off the radar for a while when the kids were really young.General personal observation: everyone in my martial arts adventures has been so kind, but throughout the years the BJJ folks have always been the most welcoming, family oriented group. Every school I've happened upon had that same warmth from professor all the way down the line to white belts. Family is deeply engrained in the culture.Specific observation: GB PoCo is a prime example of what a BJJ family is and should be. Their passion for the sport, art, family and culture is genuine. They exude positivity; celebrate everyone’s growth and progress, and attack challenges, as a family. Every higher belt I have had the privilege to roll with has taken the time to teach technique and concepts, and foster progression, with a rare kind of patience and encouragement. I think this speaks louder than words, to the quality instruction that supports confident, hardworking and disciplined students. And they have an incredible amount of fun doing all of it.TL;DR: I’m pretty sure I just joined some kind of cuddle buddy mafia. (And I love it).

Gracie Barra is actually a well known bjj franchise from the states, if you want professional and authentic Brazilian Jiu-jistu, this is the place to go.+ dojo was clean, neat and well-lit.+ great place for kids to build confidence, discipline and focus.+ zero behavioural issues in the kids classes, the instructor was able to capture their attention completely.+ kids classes were not crowded and chaotic like other places, perfect class size, and balanced student to teacher ratio.Overall, you get your money's worth!

44yo with several years at other schools.Joined GB Poco a few months ago and the team quickly became family. They have a great warm culture and I have watched many new white-belts walk in and get comfortable so quickly with this welcoming team.Great instruction from two Black Belt Instructors as well as brown and purple belt coaches- all awesome. There is a broad schedule of classes to choose from so that you can fit jiujitsu into your life no matter your work schedule. There is a nice range of experienced students on the mats too, so veterans will also enjoy training with their peers. It's great to see a growing squad of females who train co-ed in a safe and friendly environment, but they even have a ladies only class.Love this place. Come visit!

My daughter joined the poco family about a year ago at the age of 8. Since joining we have seen her confidence rise, she has made new friends and now goes 3 days a week. The school has an excellent after school program as well. During the year they have competitions the kids and adults can participate in which is also great and well put together. Most recently my wife and I have also joined the family and although we may be sore we both left with a smile and a better understanding of this martial art. Don’t hesitate and contact them if your even thinking about joining. I look forward to meeting you on the mat.

Joined GB Poco in Sep 22 as a 53+ year old first timer. I needed to get healthier, gyms are boring and I wanted to do something that scared / challenged me. I will admit to being VERY nervous before my first class. I started rolling with the 6 AM Better Than Coffee" group and instantly (I mean minute 1)
