The vibe was grungy and music was good. I loved the retro style throwback decor. The MTL smoke meat sub had serious promise and I did enjoy, through there’s some room for improvement if they upgraded their ingredients. The poutine was good but not noteworthy. All in all, the food was good and enjoyable but it can definitely be improved with minor ingredient substitutions.

Good surprise, nice little place with friendly staff and quick service. Had the cheeseburger and fries which was pretty good. Good atmosphere and would definitely go back.

Stopped in for drinks and a bite to eat. The staff was very nice. The place was just hot inside, food was just ok, the drinks tasted good but not so strong. Staff was very helpful so that helped.

Fun little place in Old Montréal. Really cool interior, with open windows to the street.I was alone, which can be intimidating sometimes, so when I noticed the bar seating, I liked that. The food was good but only two servers, so they were busy. They also had to deal with an obnoxious drunk on the patio, so that slowed them down, too. (I believe he was already drunk when he arrived).Overall, it's a fun place and great for people watching.

Came here in the summer when I visited montreal and came here on a whim when passing bySo glad we got to come here as the decor is super unique with one wall lined with oldmm by playboy magazines and lots of neon lights and an old arcade machine in the back by the dove like washroomsFood was decent too! I had the montreal smoked meat sub alongside a key lime pie milkshake. Meat was tasty and very flavourful and the milkshake was on point with the taste of the pie flavour in every sipA nice little bar feel with a big tv right in the middle of the bar so you can watch any games or events while enjoying your food with a nice cold one!Service was awesome as it was my family Ali g with another family and the waitress was great! If I could, I would give Franklin's a 3.5 (instead of a 3). The service is friendly, the decor is unique (not often will you have a wall covered in old Playboy magazines), its open late, and the food isn't bad. It's just not that great, and not that fresh. A few little tweaks here and there could help this place take off (better quality buns for the cheesesteaks and hot dogs, slightly fresher toppings, a unique ingredient or two to add to the pretty basic poutine).Also, I actually came here because of the variety of cool milkshake options on their menu, only to find out they weren't serving milkshakes at all (a pretty big letdown). Would I come here again if I was desperate? Yea, I would. But it wouldn't be a mainstay.

Ordered the Philly steak sub, I don't want to exaggerate, it was literal dog food. I'm not even a picky eater, I always finish my plate whatever I order, but I couldn't attempt to finish this.Their plastic orange cheese is totally inedible, way too salty and a very strange synthetic after taste. Made me gag. There was nothing in the sub, just cheese" and steak

Easily accessible spot in the old port with a unique interior design and very friendly service. The food was ok but not so special, the hot dog was disappointing. The music was too loud which made it too annoying to enjoy our meal and drinks. I might visit again to try the terrace and other items on the menu.
