Katpakam Grocery

As someone from Kerala, we were always looking for good fresh sea food, we finally found it in Katpakam! They have a wide variety of sea food, and its very very fresh, almost felt like it was right from the sea fresh! They cut and clean it very well, so makes your life easy.The owners are very nice and polite. Only reason not giving 5 start is because the place is a bit small so can get crowded pretty quick. But you get everything south indian here. We go almost every weekend.

Worst experience in my life. Usually i go there to get fish and indian groceries even store is not neat and clean. Today one juice bottle slipped and brocken inside the store and she ask me pay for it. Its just 1.49 cents, i paid that amount without asking but when i ask she was even rude. She just lost a customer, i never go back again

Place has unique brands and items. They don’t have tons of collections but some srilankan, some Indian collection. Narasus Udayam filter coffee wasn’t found anywhere but this place had it. I called before I went here and they checked, confirmed that they had the item. I really liked that they didn’t just say yes for the sake of answering. I did mention to them that their store had unique items and they were courteous.The only problem I had with this place was, the place is really really tiny. Tiny means only one person can pass through the lane. You got to wait for the person to finish their shopping and then you can move to that lane. You cannot take your kids for sure. Also, I could not find everything so I had go to other Indian place for shopping.Small business people, so I encourage people to give a try! Who knows you may find an item that you could not find in other stores!

The shelves are stocked well. However, as you walk into the store you are greeted with a blast of stale air. Understandably during winter months there is a concern for ventilation, but would be nice to have some air circulating through and out to prevent this.Also the aisles are narrow. Again, understandable with the variety of products made available.If it wasn’t for the stale air that made you want to get out of there as fast as possible I’d have given it his place an extra star.

Would recommend this place for Indian groceries.. small store with limited options, but it's good.. I didn't try meat here..

Grocery items available.

We bought drum sticks and they had pink spots when I cut them open. I called the store to mention this the lady was not apologetic and said lots of people bought it but no one has complained. Their produce gas lots of bugs flying around. This place is not clean. Always sells old seafood and meat. Will never go their.

Decent place to buy South Asian grocery items. Store is little cramped. Debit or credit cards are accepted only if the billing amount is $15+ else they charge extra percentage fee.
