I took Photo's of the Environment. We were seated at the Back. There were 2 tables used by Staff. They were filling up dip.containers with different product. They had to keep leaving the table to serve Patrons. They left the Containers open throughout the time. People were walking by to use the Washrooms walking close to the table. One child ran its hand along the table with the open Product. Assuming that they were a Staff persons shoes lying on the floor tipped over . It felt more like being in someones living room. The folks at the table behind us were also making comments about the same thing.

Ordered standard burger and fries. Burger was overcooked and very dry. Suspect it might be microwaved to make the precooked burger hot. Fries were a lower quality brand from restaurant supplier. Would suggest fresh cut fries. Very mediocre. You must cook a burger right or you'll have lots of business go away.

Food was great but our service and server was AWFUL. We were dropped our food and were missing a requested item and never got to ask about it because the next time we saw him he was taking one empty plate away over 20-25 mins later while the other person was still eating then seconds later showed up with the bill and debit machine. Still while the one person was still eating their food. Nothing like feeling rushed out! We asked for some time to finish and digest first. When looking at the bill, it was noted that there was a charge for the item that was never brought and we wanted to speak to him about it. He was no where to be found so we talked to the first staff we saw and explained our disappointment in our visit. This waiter quickly apologized and said the charge would be removed and went to find our waiter. He finally appeared and was very defensive, offered no apology, and was frankly quite rude. We were one of the one tables left in this section. There was no thank you, no have a good evening, no apology- not even small talk. I know everyone has a bad day- but this was just plain poor service and not what we are accustomed to at Castle John’s. He definitely did not embrace your motto on your website homepage. We very much did not feel welcome and are quite disappointed with this visit.

Normaly would recommend this place to anyone but lately downhill. Was served an amigo salad with manure still on the mushrooms, I picked them out of the salad and showed the server the clumps of soil, she apologized and took the mushroom that had the most soil on it back to show this kitchen. She did not return again other than at the time to pay the bill, at that time she asked how was everything" I reminded her that last we seen her she took and order from us for a diet pepsi that never came and took the mushroom to show the kitchen but never returned

First time visiting, my wife had the seafood linguine. She loved it? I had the peppercorn burger. It was an awesome juicy burger !Best burger I have had in a long time. Second visit my wife had the chicken parmesan with linguine in a rose sauce. She loved it! I had the lasagna. Flavor was good but way overcooked! The servers are friendly and checked on us regularly. Finally the prices were reasonable and the portions big! Forget to mention the chef's salad. Fresh crisp ingredients and again, a large portion! Thank you Castle John's! Another note:we travel from Bancroft to eat there (1.25 hours)just to spoil ourselves!

Excellent Food and Service! A group of 8 from Toronto dined here on Canada Day. The wait staff were amazing and the food was delicious. Large portion size and no one complained about the taste. We were all satisfied. I will eat here again and recommend this restaurant.

Wow ! This was an excellent find !Huge restaurant with an amazing menu selection.Had the Mini Yorkies which were excellent. The veg stir-fry was perfectly prepared. Great place great staff.

Service and the environment was nice.Food was served piping hot.Starter was prompt, ordered the crab cakes. Main took another 30mins to arrive.Top sirloin, Rib racks and lobster tail.The crab cake was slightly on the saltier side, not much crabs in it.The lobster tail on my partner's plate was good. While mine have got an overdose of salt on it, very salty.Ordered medium rare sirloin, got it served medium well instead.Rib rack was nice with the bbq sauce. Mashed potatoes and veggies was nice.Overall an ok place to go to hang out.

The atmosphere and service was great tonight! Our server Branden made it amazing as well! He was friendly, helpful, quick and even went as far to notice I didn't eat the olive from my Caesar and instead of an olive for my second drink, he gave me 2 Pickles lol really shows he pays attention to his customers and I really appreciated that extra touch! Thank you Branden! Please be sure to share this with him! His hard work is appreciated!
