Askew Park
Wonderful little wild park in the middle of town. Some of the trails are level and easy to walk and some aren't.

Very pretty trail. Beautiful creek and trees. Has benches if you want to sit and admire the forest. Great for a short walk!

Askew Park
Such a FABULOUS park to enjoy with so much beauty to take in. There were benches to relax on, a stream to listen to and watch, various paths to walk on, trees and plants to enjoy and animals to listen to - a perfect afternoon stroll.

Old growth forest and an Eagle’s nest.Askew Creek totals about 8 kms of trail with your choice of length and exit.Walking through Askew parks allows you to explores second growth and old growth Douglas Fir, western Hemlock, broad leaf maple and Arbutus trees some are 500 years old. Maybe you will see the Eagles nesting. Askew is a great place to have your morning coffee, lunch or family walk any time of the year.

Askew Park
Terrific small park right in the heart of town. A bit of a hidden gem as many don’t realize the size of the old growth Douglas firs and western red cedar trees that are hiding inside this small forest. A nice short walk that my dog loves to go on through here. The bridges are a nice little touch so you get to cross back and forth across Askew Creek. A nice new bench (a memorial) was installed last year for a relaxing sit near the creek. An informative kiosk sits at the entrance on Oak Street for the park. A garbage can and dog poop bags are also available.

Sweet treat! How many people can say they have a rainforest mid town? I love that the children from schools nearby can learn so much about their various subjects by going for a walk... beautiful way to spend a short walk or hours to the wonder!

Lovely little forest - great place for walks with young children and/or seniors. Trails were short & with benches in beautiful locations. Bridges were narrow but well built & had railings.

Beautiful trail walk through the old growth forest. Amazing old firs and cedars. Nice little creek running through the middle. One of the rare jewels of Chemainus.
