We've only dealt with Pirie a handful of times, but each time it's been a very painless experience.We've walked in for replacement parts for stuff we could DIY, and they always had stock, never tried to upsell an inperson repair or service.We've also had home visits for both our washer and dishwasher, both times the servicemen were exceptionally professional and had fair prices.Even if we've phoned about a brand they don't service, they're quick to suggest other places or servicemen.

I needed a drain pump for my GE washing machine. Called Pirie Appliances and spoke with Brad and he gave me a price for a complete pump assembly (needed to be ordered) or I could buy the DP1 pump motor and re-use the mounting bracket and pump body from my old pump and they had this in stock. Thanks to Brad for saving me money and getting my washing machine up and running today instead of waiting for parts to be ordered! We’re in the market for a fridge and stove…we’ll be going back to Pirie Appliances for sure. Great service! Thanks again!

Wow! What service. I just called two days ago because my gas stove wasn’t working and this morning a service man came from Pirie and replaced the igniter. I’m really sorry I didn’t get his name. He was very professional and efficient. The service charge was very reasonable. Thank you.

Bought a part for my stove at Pirie, turned out that it was not needed so I went to return it, due to their hours it was the next week. When dealing with them for the return I was told I can’t because the package was opened, but the part was clearly unused. It was more the fact that when asked why, I was told because I bought it a week ago and used it, so basically automatically accused of trying to cheat them and I am dishonest! Also told I can’t return an electrical part, that is the policy, which is not stated anywhere! Anyway I don’t normally write negative reviews but was a bit insulted by the accusation of being dishonest right off the bat.Trying to support local businesses, but unfortunately these are some of the issues, now I have a part that I will never use, but they could. Not even an offer of restocking fee, they say can’t sell it with a small tear in the bag, well use it on one of your repairs!Lesson learned, hey the $45 won’t effect me , but wouldn’t them either and they have a use for the part!!! And would still have a customer and recommendations.Thank you

I’ve been going to Pirie for years for all of my appliance needs and every time I go I remember why. My overhead range microwave died this past week and I took it to Pirie Wednesday afternoon and they had diagnosed and fixed the problem by Friday Night. You’ll never find that level of service at a big box store!

They had my fridge for two weeks to fix it, which is obviously inconvenient. I realize that there are factors beyond the control of this business that went into that so I give a bit of a pass for that. However, my experience was made unnecessarily difficult as a result of arrogant and entitled staff. I ended up speaking with 3 different people there about a variety of questions, issues etc. over the time they had my fridge and when I was trying to arrange for someone to come have a look. Every single person I had the displeasure of speaking to was short with me and at times were downright rude. The ONLY reason I went ahead and had them fix my fridge was because they were the first company who could show up to do take a look. Had Lincoln Appliances or another respected appliance repair business been available, I would have much rather not dealt with the extremely unhelpful people at this place. Needles to say, I’ll never return here and will strongly discourage others doing so as well.Kindness and respect cost nothing, guys. Be better.

We've purchased multiple appliances here over the years and will do so again. They helped me pick out my new washing machine by phone and email and delivered it in 2 days in a snow storm. The person who helped me over the phone was very professional and the delivery men were prompt, polite and helpful. Extremely grateful they helped me avoid the laundromat again this weekend :-) Thanks Pirie's.

Love this local appliance store. Very knowledgeable and honest staff. Super friendly and they loaded my new dishwasher in my SUV for me. Drive an hour there because of a friend's advice. Happy I listened and supported this company instead of some offshore CEOs million dollar salary. Once my washer and dryer are done I'll be back for new ones.
