Deadman's Bay Path - Trailhead
Decent little hike to Freshwater Bay and back. A casual 40 min hike downhill to the Freshwater Bay beach, and slightly longer back up. Trail is quite rocky, moderate difficulty. You can get away with using runners if it hasn't rained recently, but hiking boots would be helpful with the ankle-twisting terrain and small wet portions. There's one outhouse near the Freshwater Bay beach.

I didn’t finish the trail; but it was such a long walk to reach the sea. And it was dirty. It’s a very dirty beginning.... there are other prettier trails out there on the east coast trail..

A bit of a rustic trail. Probably not for mobility impaired or someone in less than average shape. Good condition, but some areas with medium sized boulders or areas that otherwise require slower going. I've never heard it called Deadmans Path except on Google. It's the trail to Freshwater Bay. About 2.2 km to Freshwater, and it intersects with other trails, so adventurous and athletic have many options. Its downhill to the bay and took us almost an hour down, and more than an hour back. Good parking right at the well marked trails.

Exellent hike from deadman's Bay to Cape Spear. It was easy in the start but get hard almost at the end. Lot of wind and rocky all the way. Hike is really worth it. Completed it in around 5 hours (one way). I will recommend good hiking shoes. Lot of blue berries in the way; that tastes actually really good.

Deadman's Bay Path - Trailhead
Great trail with some lovely views. It's downhill to the ocean, so keep in mind It's uphill going back. There is a camping spot with a fire pit once you reach the bay. There is also a toilet/thunderbox just up a hill there. The trail is maintained. The trail itself is great but the bay was a bit disappointing. There are better ones around. Still, the trail is a worthwhile hike on its own.

At high tide crossing the rock requires going barefoot in the water. Very pretty hike, definitely recommend

I've hiked 5 or 6 trails now, camping out on most of my trips. Trails are excellently maintained and the designated camp sites are nice.
