Both myself, and my dog Venus thrived under the CPC program. Amanda has a very modern outlook on training service dogs. Venus graduated in the summer and we have recieved nothing but praise on our handler and dog team. Amanda provided me with the confidence and support I needed to follow through with having my own service dog.

Amanda has been amazing to work with and both me and my service dog Luma both love working with her. She helped me pick Luma out from her litter through temperment testing and took Luma in as a four month board and train where Luma was well loved and cared for by Amanda. I see such a huge improvement in both mine and Luma's skills thanks to Amanda. I would absolutely reccoment Canine Partners Canada to anyone looking for a service dog.

This is a much needed service to the community! Wonderful classes and training is always fun. My child has gained so much confidence in learning to work and train his own service dog to fit his needs and has gained not only a wonderful canine partner but also new friends. Thank you!!

We are working with Amanda. She is walking us through the journey of training my daughter's future service dog Luna. She is an amazing, smart and compassionate young woman. She really cares for the dogs she trains and the clients. She has been such a blessing for my daughter, our dog Luna and myself. I feel really blessed to have been connected with her for this journey. Thank you so much for the dogs that you train.

I have been working with Amanda for almost two years and she is an incredibly kind, hard-working, and knowledgeable trainer. She assisted in the choosing and training of my service dog Yasha and it is because of her that I now have my life-saving companion. She has been with us for every step of Yasha's training process, even while Yasha struggled with health problems from having panosteitis as a puppy that she has since fully recovered from. Amanda was incredibly patient and caring while we struggled with Yashas health problems as a puppy, she helped us get Yasha back on a healthier track with her vast knowledge of dog health and dog nutrition that I have yet to see from any other trainer I have worked with. It is only because of Amanda that I am able to have a normal life by helping me achieve a life saving companion, I have been able to travel with Yasha and am now able to work because I have a service dog, and I never would have been able to do it without Amanda. I also had my dog board with her for some time while I was away and unable to take my service dog Yasha with me, and she took excellent care of her. She kept me updated daily on her well-being and what she had done that day. While staying with Amanda Yasha was recovering from puppyhood panosteitis and Amanda went above and beyond to make sure that Yasha got all her relevant supplements and exercises needed while I was not there. I don't think words can properly describe how much having a service dog has impacted my life positively, other than that fact that I am not able to actually live my life. I have Amanda to thank for helping me achieve this freedom, and I will continue to support and recommend her.

I have had, and continue to have, an incredible experience working with Amanda at Canine Partners Canada. My service dog, Bear, who was a shut-down rescue full of bad habits, started his training doing a 6 month board and train with Amanda. He came out the other side my best friend and my fiercest and most loyal carer. Amanda shows a level of dedication to her clients that I have not seen from other organizations. From teaching me the simplest things like how to bathe my dog, to helping me understand dog body language so I could better supervise play, to delivering written information on dog nutrition to help us choose the best food, all the way to driving an hour (one way) with less than a days notice to help bear and I at our home with an issue we were having.I have watched her work with such care and consideration for each dog and handler team, modifying her approach to each team’s needs and making accommodations where- and when-ever possible. One thing that I especially appreciate about Amanda is that she can admit when she doesn’t know something, and when this has happened, she has always returned to me with a written document answering the questions using sources from peer-reviewed journals. This is far from the case of what I’ve experienced with other trainers in the area, who tend to be too full of bravado to admit that no one can know everything, and would just brush my questions off or flat out refuse to answer.Amanda offers a unique, compassionate, and empathetic training experience; she is a disabled handler herself, giving her essential insight into the lived experience of being disabled, and this is an incredible asset of hers. I would describe Amanda as hyper-empathetic, always approaching situations with gentle tenderness and understanding of clients’ (and their dogs’) needs and limitations, even to her own detriment. She never, however, lets that get in the way of giving words of caution or support when it could compromise the success of the handler-dog team. Finding this kind of balance is difficult, but Amanda has done it, and it is incredible to both experience and witness. She is always on your team and rooting for you, even when she has to tell you something you don’t want to hear (in my case - I was a bit of a neurotic control freak, and Amanda had to give me a reality check on that).Even now that I am living in B.C. (with provincial certification that we could not have achieved without Amanda and CPC’s help), Amanda is still there every day to support us when we need.I would love to shout from the rooftops how highly I recommend CPC and Amanda’s services, but I think a google review is more effective. I wish I could give more than 5 stars, but hopefully my 5 stars and words are enough to underline just how much Bear and I appreciate Amanda for all of her hard work and knowledge she shares. Thank you CPC!!!
