Went in to buy a phone stand for my car, found one in the locked display case under a price tag that read $19.99. I asked an employee to open the case and he brought the item to the tills for me, as is the procedure for locked display cases. When I get to the till, the item scans for $30, not the price that was displayed. When I inform the cashier that the display price was different, she asks me to go take a photo of the display, showing the price difference. Turns out the item was put in the wrong spot by another employee and the actual $20 item was out of stock. I ask if I could still get the item for $20, seeing as it was not my fault that the item was in the wrong spot. She called over a manager to see about a price change. When the manager finally comes over. She was rude right off the bat and aggressively stated that the item was in the wrong spot and I couldn't get it for the $20 it was displayed as, that the item was moved and they couldn't bring it down to that price. Best she could offer was to bring it down to $25. Although it was not a great fix it was fine. I would not have been upset about that if the manager had explained it in a more polite way from the beginning, instead she was rude from the start. It is not my fault that the item in the locked case was put in the wrong spot, and I shouldn't have to be treated like it was. I understand people make mistakes but it was not the attitude I was expecting to receive.

I arrived in Edmonton with a loud rattling from my exhaust. Less than 2 months ago I had my entire exhaust system redone in a small town location. I was not confident with their work as a few other issues had also arrived.I called the Edmonton location distressed, the gentleman on the phone was kind, calm and extremely courteous and had me in the next day and told me to talk to Tony.Tony was/is amazing! Within 3 hours he had the problem diagnosed and parts ordered. Two days later, he called, the part was in and he was ready to book me the next day to get it done. Fixed and done in 3 hours.Night and day experience from one location to the next. Thank you Tony!! you have no idea how much I appreciate you and your teams craftsmanship. I highly recommend this location for vehicle work.

I've had good experiences at Canadian Tire before, but the most recent one was terrible.I was buying a BBQ in their grill section but the actual boxes were nowhere to be found as they were in the back warehouse. No problem. Employees were also nowhere to be found. Big problem.I texted their help number for instore help. I talked to 3 employees (one was going off shift, and 2 worked in the garden center and couldn't help me but said they would call someone). I stood there for 30 minutes before someone begrudgingly helped me.The bbq is great, but I'm going to avoid Canadian Tire after this one.

The Canadian Tire, Kingsway location is one of my favorites. I live in Downtown Edmonton, and this is the closest hardware, automotive, sporting equipment and homeware all in one. The quality is ok, but there are a lot of Chinese goods here. This is a Canadian owned and operated chain, so when I can't get what I want from a small business, this is my next stop before online. It is rarely crowded, and there is enough staff to service the customers. I recommend this store if you live close by.

Worked here for 2 months, the people in my department did their best with what they were given, which honestly wasn't much.I have joint issues, and needed to spend some time sitting in the back warehouse while watching the desk to ensure I could hop up and help people when they came. Ended up getting written up and told I had to stay in the front the whole time, which I can understand.I wasn't given an official 'training day.' My training consisted of 30 minutes of how to use the system and scanners, then I was sent off on my own. I felt so useless relying on my other coworkers, since they had their own work to do. I admit, I knew nothing about the department I was in, and from reading these other negative reviews, it seems the others didn't either.I was let go after being incredibly sick for a week, and had to call in every day to say I wasn't coming. On my last day, I forgot to call in, and received the notice that my shift started in 15 minutes... When I was two hours out of the city. I called and apologized profusely, but was told by my manager that if I didn't make the shift, I'd be fired. It was the first time I had ever missed a shift without calling.I tried to contact my supervisor using the email I was provided so I could arrange a time to drop off my uniform/nametag, and have an exit interview, but I was never given a response.Aside from this, the store was still in chaos from the renovations when I was employed there, the inventory data on the scanners were often wrong, the warehouse was cramped and disorganized, and the senior staff can come off pretty standoffish, to the point of hostile. As a positive, I was paid on time, and my T4 was delivered without request. The store was clean and air conditioned, and the dogs that were brought in were absolutely lovely. To anyone who had a bad experience here: I'm sorry, I truly did my best to make things better for you.Edit: Wow, took less than an hour for their automated bot to respond. Still clear that they never actually read these reviews lol, otherwise Wayne (who was photographed flipping a customer off 2 years ago) would have been fired before I got there.

The worst experience I have ever had doing a curbside pick up. I had called after waiting 30 minutes while the online services was not updating and I have never been dismissed in such a manner ever. If I wanted to wait 40 plus minutes I would of paid for delivery. I will never use this location again. I'm am absolutely discusted with the customer service I have received here
