Jake the Pool Man

Very unprofessional and amateurly run company at all stages. I paid $300 for a pool closing that took all but 20 minutes. I was fine paying it at the time because I did not know how to close the pool myself and Jake seemed to do a good job. One week later some wind gusts rolled through the backyard and the pool cover got air under it, all the water flung off the cover, and the air pillow became displaced from center. I called the secretary to schedule Jake to come back out and secure the cover to last all winter. Two days later Jake called and left a message saying my secretary said you had some questions". I did not have questions

Absolute best pool guy I have ever met. Super helpful and friendly. Jake is always the one doing the work and always willing to help any way he can. New pool owner but with jakes help went super smooth. He opens/closes and updates equipment if need be. 5 stars all the way!

Jake was recommended to me for the installation of a pool heater. Jake showed up, installed new piping to the heater (gas and water), removed and took the old heater away, even fixed a couple of problems in my existing pool water lines. I'd highly recommend him for pool needs. Great communication through the process.

Jake, Manny and Vic were awesome! They repainted our pool, added a railing, removed an old diving board, and did some re-grouting in places. Overall, all three of them were professional and friendly.During the work, Jake got stung by a wasp, and never made a big deal of it. He just came back another day and finished the work.We tried to fill the pool with water, and the hose chipped off a part of the paint because it was thrashing around --- Jake came back and touched up the chipped off paint.

Jake closed up our pool for the season, and was not only affordable but also communicative and did a good job. Can’t wait to call him back to open our pool - winter is too long, and summer is too short!

We bought a home with a pool that had not been serviced or cared for in years. Not knowing anything about pools or where to start we called Jake. It took some time with acid wash, vacuums, leak detection, etc. The pool is now restored and we can't thank Jake enough for his patience and hard work!! Jake also took the time to educate us on the pool and what is needed to maintain. Outstanding service! We look forward to working with Jake!!

Jake quoted $350 to drain and acid wash my parents indoor therapy pool, in addition to cleaning the covers and filters. We then drained the pool intending to do the job ourselves. After draining the pool and starting initial cleaning we called Jake back and gave him the dimensions of the pool with the intention of hiring him. It’s an L shape pool, 45x7 at 4ft deep and then 15x15 At 2ft deep at the lower portion of the L shape. Jake changed his quote to $400 as he said therapy pools are 10x12. Jake showed up 20 minutes late without calling, was on the job less than 2 hours, didn’t clean the cover or filters and still received $400 despite not finishing the job. Jake also quoted $4,500 to paint the pool, which we believe to be exorbitant.

Jake was knowledgeable, professional, and extremely helpful. And to top it off, he was very kind! Thank you for a job excellently done Jake.

I have an above ground pool which I have heard most people won’t touch. My winter cover ripped and all the winter yuck went right into my pool. My pool looked like a pond! Sent an email to Jake and he got right back to me. Without hesitation he said he was absolutely able and willing to do the job. He came and did the job while I was at work and kept me posted through the entire job. My pool is now completely clean and he even put my ladder in before leaving. Great work and great customer service! I will be sure to use his services again and would highly recommend him to anyone!

I called Jake the pool guy this spring after a pool store recommended him. He was nice on phone, told me he woul be glad to service and close my pool. I called him this fall and left a message to no reply, left 2nd voicemail and then a 3rd voicemail now its been 1 week and even texted, to my surprise no response. So I called the pool store who recommended him and shared experience and they said yeah he does that often and closes without warning." EXTREMELY unprofessional and would think twice before you call him!!!"
