McGill University Hospital Emergency
If I could give less than 1 star I would. spent 16hrs in Emergency and never saw a Doctor. Got there at 3:30pm, at around 10pm shift change, they did not call anyone for about 2hrs. Then at 7:15 AM shift change again. That is when I called it quits. I don't know what kind of shift change" takes 2hrs

Security are useless and wait times are ridiculous but the healthcare workers are incredibly kind and helpful for the most part. I would recommend going at night if given the option. It strikes me that the ones that work during the day view it as a 9-5 job that they have to do whereas the nighttime workers do it because they really care and want to help. Nurse Andy and Nurse Alex are very kind and personable, Dr. Lee was very professional and helpful. The hospital should be proud of their ER Night Shift healthcare workers, truly a pleasure to interact with and be treated by.

My wife went in with serious issues, so serious that the nurse on the telemedicine app and my whole family of doctors told her to go to the ER. 17 hours in the waiting room, she still didn’t see the doctor and the nurse told her it was only going to happen in about another 3-4 hours at which point she decided to leave. This is not healthCARE this is TORTURE.

I'm now here. If I can put 0 for this one of the most terrible experience. This is torture. My doctor and nurse in telemedicine told me to go to emergency as soon as possible due to my health issue. So I had to leave my job in the middle of the day.I came to this emergency at 12pm and I'm waiting here already 16 hours!!!! Now it's 3am! I did not see a doctor...and I don't know when and if I see him. What they did during these 16h it's only triage and registration that took around 10min all together. It's crazy, I feel very bad and I don't know what to do, noone can give the answer here.

After a car accident, waiting 13hrs and so far, didn't even see a doctor. Nurses are impolite as hell, security guards creating discussions out of nowhere with patients and making the half-day of waiting Miserable. It use to be better before covid.Had to change from 3 stars to 1 because there's no ZERO.

My partner was brought into the emergency by ambulance. We have been asking for directions on what to do, but nobody can answer us. But every hour, a nurse comes with an indignant tone telling us what not to do and where not to stay. It has been 8 hours in this state now. We still don't know what to do. But every hour, we are told we are somehow at fault by the same nurse.I have been to several emergencies by now. But this is clearly the most disorganized, disrespectful and frustrating place by far.All that being said, the security woman and a nurse we met in the beginning has been very kind to us.

Waiting at Hospital Emergency unseen by the ER doctor even after 10 hours of waiting cannot be justified. Unseen because there is no Doctor and it’s a fact. Many other people are also waiting…few of them came even before me. This is a serious problem, Government should do something on this before asking for vote…rather than protecting French language. And they say it’s a developed country #montreal#muhc. I am sure I am writing this review just to write my heart out but nothing gonna be change.

If you have a trauma - go to the General hospital, especially car accidents. 4yrs ago in 2018 I arrived after a massive car accident, I was racially profiled and sent home with instructions to take advils after waiting 18hrs. That I would rate a ZERO, if I could, I would sue that doctor.Fast forward March 2022, I have to say, I have had the best experience in the emergency after 10yrs. Although I waited 16hrs, we had been seen periodically for follow-ups, blood tests, x-rays etc every few hours. The wait was long, but the staff was AMAZING on March 7th 2022. Doctors and nurses alike were respectful, attentive and aware of the gravity of the situation. TO name a few; Doctor Dankov, Nurse Andrew, Nurse Vanessa, and the CHERRY ON TOP; Dr. Naveed Alam. What a wonderful man and I pray for his success and safety daily. I hope he keeps treating people with this same passion. After being mistreated by my family doctor, I would say even abused, Dr.Alam listened. I hope I can stick around him for a bit longer until I find a great family doctor to his caliber.

I understand frustrations some of the commentators expressing. However, I am here to say 'Thank you!'From the beginning I was treated well by front-line employees. Next, nurses were companionable and helpful. Lab staff and medical imagining staff worked quickly and all the data was made available in a reasonable manner. All the doctors I interacted with were companionable and attentive.

wait time is unreasonable. onwards of 17 hours for them to send you home because they’re incompetent.
