CIBC Branch with ATM

terrible... banking downtown for 20yrs...avoid this branch like the plague...They are brutal...entitled staff treat you like garbage...customer service feels like customers are doing the serving....

Don’t come here! This branch is not professional, they keep wasting my time for so many unnecessary steps.I apply a credit card and it was mailed to this branch, the branch called me that I cannot pick up my credit card because they are close and they refer me to call the CIBC visa centre, however, the branch is open !I did I called the Visa centre and it didn’t work out, so I call CIBC customer service 3 times! It was about 3 hours and they still want me to go the branch.So I went to this branch today, it is open!I pick up my credit card and Try to active it at home, HOWEVER! There is a problem again!I cannot activate it at home! I call the customer service again they said that I need to go back to the branch! And let the branch call CIBC credit card centre to confirm I can active!Why the person who works at this branch did not tell me about it at the time when I was picking up my credit card? So I have to go back again?I don’t know is whether CIBC are not professional among Canada’s bank or only this branch, as a new customer in CIBC I had a very dissatisfied experience here!I would like to give 0/5 if google review allows!Very disappointed ! Wasting of my time !Terrible experience with CIBC!

Had very poor customer service with Raymond Changlee. Raymond made several mistakes on an account held by my husband and a close friend that I advise on financial matters. He tried to say that he did not receive documents even though there was a clear email trail and when I called him on it he acted all fussy saying I wasn't his client and he would refuse to deal with me as I questioned his integrity. He has not been able to give a clear answer on a loan even though it has been 2 weeks. He doesn't seem to care if his bank loses clients as my husband will no longer deal with him and our business partner has already indicated she wants another account manager and is willing to see a loan elsewhere. I will be encouraging pretty much anyone I speak with to leave this bank. He is rude and negligent.

Don't come here! It is not professional at all! They just wasted my time, my whole lunch time and almost my whole afternoon! They have no idea what the client issue is and they don't know how to deal with that! I was asking them to help me unlock my card cuz my card was locked due to a big transaction i made last week. I gave them my passport and also my study permit. I also had my SIN number with me. But they said that I need another photo ID to verify my identity, and they told me to go to Service Canada to get that photo ID.This is ridiculous as I called another CIBC branch and they told me that you only need your passport and your study permit with you. I also checked CIBC website online saying that normally you just need two pieces of ID and one that must be a photo ID that u can used in Canada.They are making the process so complicated and I think they even do not know what the right procedure is! They just keep wasting your time.Don't come to this branch, and I hope the head office could see that and help organize this branch! It is a chaos here!If possible, I don't even want to rate them one star. Such a bad experience here!

Its surprising that after 10 years of this being my home branch that the staff treat me with the most disrepect ever.

One of the worst banks to deal with. They are very disorganized and don't seem to understand what they can and can't do, or how to do it. Internally, they are very confused. After many meetings and calls, being transfered to different agents you may start to get a better picture. Unfortunately, speaking to agents at different branches don't help as the problem seems to the the same. No cohesive organization and understanding of what they offer, and can or can't do.

Extremely bad service. Visited this branch several times, terrible service. Their system is always not working and the tellers are unprofessional. Recently went to get money order but they didn't have the paper for it and that was my second visit for it. The lines are always long with only 2 tellers working. The tellers are always confused about simple service and need to call someone for help. Avoid this branch at all cost.

One of the worst experiences at a bank that my parents have been going to since I was a child. It took them 20 minutes past opening to simply deposit cash. I walked up the desk politely and was told rudely to get in line. While in line I was told by the teller “do you have business or what” before approaching the desk.3 months prior I wanted to close my safety deposit box and was told that I needed my father in because he was the one paying for the account. After waiting another 30 mins past opening for the SINGLE safety deposit box ‘certified’ employee. We were told that any one of us could come in and close it by ourselves. NOT information that was told to us earlier.Overall I would highly recommend anyone steer clear from this branch. Bloor Yonge is much more helpful.

I had awful experience with one of the tellers name Cindy, she was very dismissive.. wasn't helpful at all. I believe as a teller you should be very sympathetic towards customers especially when it comes to financial matters. I've been with CIBC for over 15 years and that was probably the worst service I've ever had. It was not until I asked to speak with the Manager Laura and she was a sweetheart and made my experience so much better.

I really appreciate this Bank for everything it is and does. This location particularly is in an area with some not-so-nice people. I’ve witness people who weren’t completely sane yell at the tellers and managers, yet the employees always handle their clients with complete care and always de-escalate the situation.Dennis is a CIBC employee who is always professional and kind. I’ve always had a good experience with him and he always answers and questions I have! He is always working incredibly hard and I hope he is appreciated.Overall, for the situation the employees are out in this CIBC location is 10/10 and I trust them completely.
