Joyce is the best!! I had a warranty issue with a pair of boots that leaked. I had no receipt except my debit information from March 2021, and the box they came in (the box helped too, lol). Joyce was so great!!! She found my original receipt in the computer and helped me find a pair of shoes I liked. While I was waiting for her to dig in the computer, the other girls in the store also offered to help me. What a great bunch of staff. I also found another great pair of boots on sale and bought those too!I see a lot of negative customer service reviews on here, and I have to say... I have never experienced bad customer service at this store. They always go above and beyond.I will bring my business to this store.

I must say I was very disappointed in the manner that the Step Ahead staff treated a customer in the store this morning. Not only did the customer the staff member was speaking to leave, I also left. I can't speak for that customer but I will never step foot in that store again. I will also be telling everyone I know just how very rude your staff is.Your staff member told a customer and a baby there was no room in the store for them. What a disgusting display of customer service. You should be ashamed of yourself. I guess if there is no room in the store for customers there must not be any room in the till for money either. That customer did go to another store in Woodgrove Mall and purchase shoes. As did I drop 200.00 on shoes today. Good to know you don't need the business.

I waited in line for 10 minutes trying follow your 7 person covid rule as posted. Then watched a woman walk right in and get served by you. Why do you even post the sign of you are not monitoring the number of people in your store or using the lineup? When I did get in I was not greeted and no one had offered to assist me after 10 minutes. I left went to Sport Chek where I was greeted and offered help immediately. I bought my $200 shoes there. Cutting service pays, you lose today. Improve your customer service if you expect customers to support local businesses.

My daughter & I were looking for a comfortable pair of walking shoes, as she is going to Europe for a month. We found a pair of Vessi shoes that my daughter absolutely loved. The employee rang in the sale but there was another woman behind the counter the whole time we were in the store. She never acknowledged us, said hello, welcome, offered help, thank you or anything else. I thanked the sales person & asked her if the ignorant lady behind the counter was the owner? It was indeed the owner of the store, so I said thank you to this lady as well. Still nothing? So I said to her “it’s really too bad, that the owner of such a nice store, doesn’t acknowledge their patrons?” My daughter is happy with her purchase but because of this transaction, I will never patron the store again.

Horrible service. I have attempted to look for shoes here a couple of times and both times the staff all stood around, helped others (not sure what they had to do to get it) or just completely ignored me. This last time was the worst. Many people working but never once offered to help (despite my clearly stumbling about looking for sizes) but rather made me feel like I was NOT welcome at all, really bizarre. Never again, thanks. Ill take my unwelcome" money elsewhere and would suggest others do the same"

Initially I was put off by the lack of knowledge of their products by one of the younger staff. However, after going back and dealing with an older staff, they exhibited very good knowledge and were very helpful. When I discovered my purchase had a manufacturing fault, they did the exchange without fuss. I'm just glad they had another pair in my size!

We were treated quite poorly when my wife and I attempted to shop with our four year old in tow. Our son was holding my hand when he reached to touch something and was snapped at by staff. In the middle of being helped, the staff person saw someone she knew enter the store. After hugs and exclamations, we were left hanging. We left and received amazing service from another specialty shoe store in the same mall.

I have bought enough shoes here one would wonder at what point does a customer get polite service without having to wait for the staff to stop chatting and help. Even once sitting with shoes piled and waiting for them to stop chatting to help, it feels like not welcome in the store and the sooner I am out, then they can get back to their visiting. The level of service does not change if with my mom, a friend, or alone. It's dismal. My mom does not like going in that this store. She is super polite and shocked everytime by the service. We all know the shoes in there are expensive, but high wuslity, and might want or need them. Choice is go to Qualicum or Victoria. Why doesn't the owner do something about the service. When do the customers become a priority? How many bad reviews do you need? The reason for the 2 stars is the shoes, they are great. The missing 3 stars is the employees and bad service.

I was in this store today. The store had several customers. One employee was on the phone with a customer. Two ladies were standing next to me talking. I needed help, so I walked around them to the cashier & they asked if they could help me. I actually said to them, Oh I didn't know you worked here." The staff are trained by management. If Management allows this behaviour
