Not only is Dr Neira an amazing, kind, professional surgeon but he goes above and beyond to ensure you know exactly what's going on and when. He has made every visit of mine to his office extremely comfortable and satisfying! I would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone! His admin assistant is friendly and knowledgeable. ***Please note: My review is NOT about Dr. Neira. I have no reason to believe he is nothing other than a great surgeon. ***please do yourself a favor: Get all of the details the Secretary for his office gives you in writing from her (an email, snail mail, doesn't matter). She made a massive mistake when booking my surgery (which was scheduled for today) and instead of apologizing she will yell at you and hold your transition over your head as well as be verbally aggressive, and try to gaslight you ( Ex. Deny she spoke with you, overtalks details of your transition, etc.)On August 15th I had called Dr. Neiras office to see the status of my wait time. I had already waited 4 years and was moved from a list with a surgeon in medicine hat to red deer and was told about that AFTER the switch. The secretary had no note of me so she called me back a few days later very apologetic saying the office in medicine hat was not honest about sending my referral over . She told me that she put my name on the short waiting list and the next cancellation they get for surgery will go to me. The next day, she called me back saying they had a surgery date that became available for September 5th. I was pretty thrilled.I got there today and the secretary was adament that she NEVER called me back after the 15th with any info and that we never ever spoke about a surgery.I just stared and said that's just not true at all and I wouldn't have driven all the way down here to an address she gave me to see a surgeon who works at said address. She continued to say that she never said anything and did so with much aggression. I told her that this was crazy and to please have some accountability if she just made a simple mistake. She refused and told me I'll be taken off the list all together so that I get zero surgery. Take it or leave it". I'll be contacting Dr. Marshall about that first thing tomorrow.I'm sure Dr. Neira himself is great but because of the secretary's extreme unprofessional behavior

He did a panni (apron or hanging skin removal) surgery on me.and I am over 1yr post op and everyday I am thankful I had him!!!! The scar is soooo prefect and small and just the nicest line i have ever seen in pictures or person compared to many!

This surgeon has a terrible reputation for any major surgeries. He also makes for an extremely uncomfortable experience in the way he gets up to the face of his patients only to talk down to them. Also, this doctor has you sign a form to release before and after pictures of your surgery, soely for the purpose of allowing other patients interested in a similar procedures to view the results. Then, right off the bat tells you he will not show pictures of his work. Now I know why he won't show pictures. He likes to brag about how many times he's done surgery, though his practice is not only of extremely poor quality, but also extremely out dated. He does not keep up with recent practices. Wouldn't trust this surgeon at all.

I had a breast reduction A few months ago and am not satisfied with the results. My breasts have had little to no change in size. I felt unprepared and rushed after each appointment. Dr Neira was friendly enough, but I don’t feel happy with my current results after putting that much stress on my body.

Dr. Neira removed a couple of moles from my face, and the results were better than I could have imagined. Dr. Neira was extremely kind and professional, and so were the accompanying nurses.

I recently had surgery on my nose ,this man is a skilled surgeon and first class Doctor. He makes you feel relaxed and confident can be hard to understand but is always upbeat, My surgery was a huge success and ended years of suffering

So, according to my bf (who went to Dr. Neira for top surgery), Dr. Neira himself is a good doctor. But my bf got an email from the receptionist confirming his appointment a month ago, we show up today after driving 2 hours, and the office is closed and no one will answer the phone. I had to take the day off work to make this trip, all for nothing. Extremely unprofessional and a waste of our time and money to get here

My mom has recently went in for a minor hand surgery, trigger finger .It’s 2 weeks in an she is at the hospital on IV antibiotics due to a very bad infection from within the hand . The doctor at the hospital said she could loose her thumb .Dr Neira is a very kind and chatty doctor but this is very bad news .She got in so fast , the surgery took 15mins , it was all much to rushed .

I had my breast reduction with dr neira. The entire experience went smoothly and I am very happy with the results. He made me feel very comfortable. One of the nurses said “I always wonder if confetti is going to fly when he’s around.” The only complaint I have is how rude his receptionist is. I couldn’t get important papers signed until I saw be neira myself and had him sign them. She was very unprofessional. Thankfully I only had to deal with her over the phone.I definitely recommend dr neira
