Lemon Tree Landscapes

We chose LTL to re-sod our front yard after comparing many quotes because of their reasonable pricing and good reviews. The 550sq sod must be a small project for them, but they still took it seriously and have done such a great job. It was a team of 6 people and they were all professional and hardworking, friendly and respectful. They answered all my questions patently and finished the job quickly with a high quality. We have some special requirements based on our existing flowerbed and a big tree, and they met all our requirements and exceeded our expectations. They even cleaned up our driveway and sidewalk before they left. Now, 20 days after the new sod installation, grass is growing vividly and looking beautiful. All our neighbors and us love the new look of our front yard and thank you Lemon Tree Landscapes and your great team! I highly recommend this team for anyone who needs sodding services.

We had LTL come by in Oct 2018 to install new sod, river rock bed and some plants. They ensured that sod will be leveled with the interlock and graded away from home.So where do I start....after stressing my concerns that the sod was poorly installed (gaps between pieces of sod & higher than interlock), they said the gaps will disappear and grass will level after winter. I’m not a professional landscaper but I’m told by others that have had new sod installed that this job was not done properly. So we continued to follow the post-install instructions and waited for winter to pass.After the snow had melted and it was time for early spring fertilizing I knew that what they ensured us will not happen. Gaps between sod got worst and entire lawn had yellow/brown bald spots. We had grass there previously and I’ve had my fair share of maintaining it so it’s not my first rodeo, but when we sent them pics of the effected areas they told me to buy EZ Seed to fix it. I understand that lawns need maintenance over time but really??? I’ve attached photos below. On grass that was just installed I find that hard to believe that it came down to the owners “poor” maintenance or winter damage. Even after mowing and EZ seeding bald areas the grass still isn’t worth looking at. Yellow and brown in some areas and green in others. Btw...I’m mowing the lawn at the second highest setting and clearly the grass isn’t leveled properly. Also older plants that were there are coming out under the newly laid sod. So clearly the dirt wasn’t prepped prior to install.After giving the grass more grass food, fertilizer, Lawn Rescue 911, EZ Seed, we let a few more weeks go by. No real improvements to say the least. I sent a message to LTL, and got back a generic reply that I found very condescending (attached below). I’m sure this is a reply that has been cut and pasted to a few clients already.Amongst other things, like high markups on plants and river rock, and less then helpful response I would strongly NOT recommend these guys to anyone. But if you want a lawn like the ones in the pics below, feel free and call them.To LTL: please don’t reply back to this review, like you’ve done with previous ones saying that you were disappointed to read it. You should be disappointed with the poor work you guys charge people for.

We would recommend Lemon Tree Landscapes! The crew showed up on time and were very respectful. The job carried out was spot on and to the described work order. As the title suggests, amazing service and professionalism.

What a great crew we had to complete our sod installation in July 2022. Susan and I just love our nicely graded backyard. Right on! Who doesn't love a nice green lawn?! Thanks LT

My review is for sod installation completed in May 2020. The work was completed in a timely fashion. The crew was kind and fair. The lawn looks great. Note, the first few lawn mowings I really needed to cut twice as it is very thick and the blades miss some. Yes, I would recommend.

We used Lemon Trees Landscapes to re sod our large back and front yard which had alot of weeds, the cost was $5500. To our utter shock this company did not remove old grass / sod. Instead they quickly used a weed wacker to shave down grass and laid down new sod on top. Hence, all the weed roots were still under the soil. I talked to owner multiple times regarding my fear that old weeds would return. He verbally assured me they wouldn't. But within 2 weeks of laying the new sod, our grass was full of weeds. They blamed it on the neighbours grass. and only offered to do a one time weed spray! Now we have to contract out weed man every year to deal with the weeds. Very dishonest company. BEWARE. We have attached photos of our invoice, as well the weedy lawn we were left with, as well as our neighbours lawn which is yellow in colour, but weed free.

I’m taking a few minutes to truly thank Sean Lemon and his crew of gifted workers.1. Timeliness - Sean always kept me up to date when he would be arriving, either to take measurements, or beginning the work.2. The crew was kind, polite and hard-working. They even swept my garden path AND weeded my flower bed. What a BONUS!3. .Foreman Yousef was knowledgeable and friendly. Yousef, you are welcome anytime to come over for a game of backgammon.4. Tidiness. My yard was cleaned cup meticulously.5. Price - Lemon Tree’s price was certainly competitive.6. ALERT! I live next to a wild ravine. On days 2 and 3 raccoons and skunks tore up a lot of sod, this time searching for earthworms. I have solved the problem by purchasing 6” garden staples from Amazon to nail the sod to the earth. Fortunately this worked, and I no longer have the problem.7. 5 STARS to Lemon Tree for a great job!

Amazing sod installation service. We found Lemon tree online while comparing other likeminded companies. Right off the bat the feeling we had was that Lemon tree was the more professional outfit. Their workmanship matched their competence. I am considering completing more work in 2023. Call them!!

After a number of quotes from various companies throughout the GTA, we felt Lemon Tree Landscapes was by far the most professional. We were right! From the start, middle and ending of the project, things were smooth. The first phase of the project is done and we will be having Lemon Tree back this spring to compete more work!

We are extremely pleased with the sod, service and response time. They completed over 10,000 square feet and the grass is looking perfect and has grown a lot! They answered all questions and were quick to replace some patches that we were questioning without any hesitation or issue! Highly recommend for price and service both on the job and once completed! Looking forward to a nice green summer of grass!
