Riverbend Karate

My 8-years-old son has practicing Karate in this club for several months, and he really likes it. All of the coaches are very good, very professional, very nice and helpful to all the kids. My son also has made several friends in his class. I can feel that my son's perseverance has improved since he joined the club. Besides, the cost of practicing martial art in this club is one of the most reasonable I can find in Edmonton.

All three of my kids have attended Riverbend Karate and my ten year old still attends class here. He started as a four year old tagging along with his older siblings and still loves his class. I am very grateful to Sensei Doug and all the other Senseis who have patiently taught and molded my kids in the art of self defense. You pay one annual fee and have the option of attending multiple classes on different days at various locations. So, even if you miss a class or two, there are plenty of opportunities to make up!! Very pleased with my son's progress and learning. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for great karate training at a reasonable price.

Me and my kids have been going here for 5 years now. Adults and kids can attend the same class so it is more convinient for me. Always enough black / brown belts around to help all belt levels. Also it is more cost effective than the other martial art class my kids were going prior to this. Many weekly schedule to choose from so works out well around my badminton schedule.

My son has studied here for more than 5 years. The teacher is very nice. The teaching assistant and the students are very friendly. My son has learned a lot about karate here, which is also very helpful to his health. He likes this team very much. I like too

I've been training with Riverbend Karate under Sensei Doug for just about 10 years. Through Karate, I learned countless lifelong skills and receieved exceptional training in the friendly and charismatic environment. It provided key self defense techniques as well as wonderful opportunities to exercise and develop physically. I 100% recommend Riverbend Karate to both beginners and more advanced students alike to join!

I have attended this dojo with my two kids for over 5 years. It is a very friendly and family-oriented program. It emphasizes not only the physical aspect but also mental awareness and readiness to appropriately respond to an unexpected situation. The program is also great for providing proper discipline to kids.It has been a good opportunity to exercise with my own kids and learn more about them.

Great approach to learning martial arts for dad and the four kids. Sensei loves to teach and kids enjoy learning. Great way to learn body control, be introduce to leadership opportunities, and have fun. Highly recommended.
