The two 1-star people Matt and Meghan can bite it. They must not be the type who enjoys a good drink while getting their feet wet. John was an awesome host, very accommodating, offered our kids a snack and beverage for the road, and gave us discounts we didn’t even know we were getting. It’s nice to have a good river kayaking joint so close to Oxford. This was a perfect lazy Sunday afternoon activity for the family!

We were out of town and decided to go Kayaking last minute. Oakland Kayaks exceeded our expectations. He was very friendly and chill. This was just the perfect and spontaneous day that we needed!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE, come out and bring your friends, very family oriented... I brought my niece and nephew out for a Kayak tour and was greeted with open arms and even a free snack for the kiddos :) Overall, AMAZING EXPERIENCE, the river was very scenic and looked almost mystical during the early morning of the day...

Went on a kayak trip last year and all I can say is it was phenomenal!!! Awesome great local fun with great relaxing views along the river. Offers great service at a very good price. Nothing around the area quite like it. And the owner John was very professional and courteous. Deff 5/5 stars will go again soon.

Great stroll down the river. Good quality equipment, peaceful calm water, and an amazing overall experience for the price. Highly recommend if you are looking for a 2-3 hour activity. If that’s getting a workout, going on a date, or just kicking it with some friends. This if for you.

A great 2.5 mile downstream trip on a quiet, beautiful river. Leave your car in the parking lot and Oakland Kayak shuttles you and the equipment upstream (just about 10 min drive), then help you launch which takes 5 minutes. The trip is 1.5-2.5 hrs depending on the river and how much work you're doing. The kayaks have a water bottle holder and a bungeed carfo area. I cannot believe so much preserved wildlife was so close to home among the suburbs. We will definitely be going back soon and bring binoculars next time too!!

Do this trip!!! I called on a Thursday to book a trip for my BFF and I to spend a few hours floating on a Saturday. Booked no problem. Was told price over phone but offered a 5$ coupon when we paid. All good there. My bff and I loved everything about this place. Is it the most high end, uptight, professional place? Nope. Was it laid back, owner friendly, made us laugh kind of place? Absolutely. Gear was good quality. Owner gave us heads up about some obstacles in the river and was very knowledgeable about the river. We will definitely be back with our SO's to do another trip!
