Tally-Ho Carriage Tours
I recently just returned home from a week vacation in Victoria and stayed at the Embassy down the street from where these horses are stationed…. All day. From about 8 am to 10 pm they’re out there. They look absolutely miserable. Horse drawn carriage tours? In 2023? Big ick. Spend your money somewhere worthwhile.

Best experience ever. Glenda with Gerry gave us a breath taking 90 minute carriage tour. Her local knowledge and sense of humour made the ride the most enjoyable thing we did this weekend. I would recommend Tally-Ho to anyone wanting this awesome experience. Thanks Glenda and Gerry!!!

Ginger was an amazing tour guide. We know Victoria well but still learned quirky facts about the buildings on the tour. My kids had a blast getting to know the horses and everyone thought we were royalty touring around in the carriage.

Tally-Ho Carriage Tours
We had the best time this past week with our Tally-Ho horse and carriage ride. We were extremely lucky to have Anna and Maggie as our tour guides. They were both very knowledgeable about the area. Maggie knew her route and seemed to really want to get up and go, she appeared to enjoy working. Anna kept both of my young children entertained with her history lessons and horse knowledge. I would recommend Tally-Ho for anyone looking for something to do in Victoria.

It had stopped raining for hours. Requested the top be put down before getting started but was told no. Not a good experience I hope for my 5yrd daughter first time. I spent over 200.00 to observe the pavement for 45min because you can't see anything with top up. The competition across street had tops down. I couldn't switch to the other company because I made a reservation with tally-ho and I believe I was already charged. Lesson learned, never make a reservation and if weather is questionable go with the competition across the street.

We made arrangements ahead of time, and we got to the pick-up point early. They took us ahead of our scheduled time. We scheduled an extended tour of the area. It was a very quiet and enjoyable ride. Since it was late in the day, toward the end of the tour, we requested an early drop-off at the ship, and they accommodated our request. Our guide was outstanding and gave insights into the local culture. Our tour horse, Sampson, had a pleasant personality. We would do this tour again.

Best tour, sweetest driver (wish I could remember her name)! So accommodating and got us in right at sunset. Horses are very well cared for and have a good relationship with their driver.

Tally-Ho Carriage Tours
We did the 45 min Beacon Hill Tour on Oct 18, 2022. 4 adults fit comfortably in the carriage. Sampson (our horse) and Tyler ( or guide) were both amazing. Tyler answered all our questions about Sampson and had interesting facts about the areas we went past such as history of house paint colours and some fun facts about Emily Carr. He had a great sense of humour and I must admit, I enjoyed when he pointed out a squirrel with an especially fluffy tail."Heads up for guests

Tally-Ho Carriage Tours
We had such a great ride in the carriage pulled by Clay the Clydesdale! Our driver and guide, Debbie, was so friendly and easy to chat with. She was very knowledgeable about the area and had great recommendations for other things to do after our tour. Highly recommend this beautiful and relaxing way to take in downtown Victoria!
