I'm biased here, because I have used Gowlings quite a bit for my job, but they are an excellent firm with a great deal of expertise in a lot of areas.Their physical office is breathtaking.Great support staff as well.

I have retained service from Derek Young 7 years ago and have now known him for 7 years. I have waited 7 years to write this review because he has stood the test of time. He is a very good lawyer not just because of his knowledge and still set but more importantly because he cares about his clients.

Jonathan Lam at Gowling WLG (Vancouver) is truly professional and fantastic to deal with! From the perspective of a matter that was felt to be absolutely ridiculous and appears to be vindicated on this premise, for the most part, I must say Jonathan was excellent and accurate in terms of his explanation of the processes, the likely time frame the matter at hand would take, and the advice that was needed to be considered in all communications. Further, Jonathan was incredibly diligent in his follow-ups, responsive to all emails when I had questions (and there were a number), and generally has a nice overall persona too - and I always left each meeting (telephone meetings due to COVID issues) feeling like he really did listen to the concerns I had and, as noted, was provided with what has turned out to be accurate and thoughtful advice. The matter is now at 13 months from the outset and looking like it will be completed in a few more months. Thank you Jonathan on all of your great advice and I must say I think you are a great asset to Gowling WLG (Vancouver).
