New Approach Canine Training Academy
I've gone to Mike for both training and daycare and can't say enough good things about this place. He is knowledgeable, honest and encouraging in helping you become a better dog owner. The training sessions were personalized, and the small group setting was great to allow for specific questions to be addressed. Mike does a great job explaining the theory behind the training, as well. The welcoming environment of daycare has helped our dog gain confidence and become comfortable around other dogs. I recommend Mike and New Approach for both daycare and training!

Mike is amazing and knowledgeable! We brought our 8 month old pup in for level one obedience training and she finished it a completely different dog. He knows what he’s doing, he cares about the dogs, and is honest in his training. Nothing but good things to say about this place!

We took the basic course and we saw such positive results immediately. Easy to follow and useful steps each week. Mike is so knowledgeable and had tips/solutions for all the behavioural issues we were having with our reactive 1 year old mastiff. We are so happy with the progress our dog made in such a short time.

New Approach Canine Training Academy
We had tried another trainer for barking issues we were having with our mini schnauzer. It was extremely disorganized and left us feeling abandoned and hopeless. I found Mike and just speaking on the phone showed me how he really cares about dogs, not just the money. We just completed our 6 week classes and Gambit is more calm and well behaved than before. More importantly we have all the tools we need to keep working with him at home. Mike's approach was professional, organized and compassionate. I am incredibly thankful to have found him and our pups absolutely LOVE the clean daycare he runs. THANK YOU MIKE!

Our experience with New Approach has been fantastic! We enrolled our 4 month old doodle in daycare, and we were impressed with Mike’s care and leadership. We also took Mike’s 6 week dog training course. Mike spends time with you and your pup. He provides clear instruction and helps you implement it during the class and at home. We would absolutely recommend New Approach to anyone. Thank you, Mike!

Mike is very knowledgeable, kind and accommodating for each dog that learns at a different pace. We learned so much from his training and had a fun time! Kuba goes to daycare here as well, I feel at peace throughout the day knowing he’s in Mike’s care.

My puppy and I just graduated from the beginner level obedience training and I must say that the results certainly exceeded what I had anticipated. Mike is absolutely fantastic in helping you gain confidence in handling your puppy. My giant, strong puppy was taking me for a walk when we started the program. Now, we go for walks together side by side without pulling. When I stop, she sits next to me. I am amazed! Thank you Mike!!

Mike is phenomenal! His first training class (which is absolutely FREE and your not obligated to sign up for training afterwards) is super informative! Honestly, he is really NOT in it for the money. Every training session provides a lot of guidance and support. Mike will literally walk you through each training element and provide any support you need. He answers all your questions and provides examples with your pet on how to react/respond to situations. He gives you the skills to teach not only your dog, but yourself too!Highly recommend and will miss going to class!!!!

Krystal is great with our English Cocker Spaniel. She’s the first groomer who has understood what type of cut we ask for and has been able to do a really close cut which means our guy stays cleaner cut for longer.She was able to give me some pointers on how to brush him in order to ensure that he doesn’t get knots and hasn’t complained about (what I am positive happens) his whining :)
