Szechuan Gourmet Restaurant
For a chinese restaurant, they have good customer service. We were served by an older guy and he was very patient with our questions.The food came within 15-20min of ordering. We ordered Szechuan fish, General Tao Chicken, fried rice, fried noodles and bean curd dish. I loved the fish dish the most.The serving size was large, there were 5 of us and we had to pack 2 boxes of leftovers. For the 5 dishes we ordered, the bill came to $70 with taxes. Really reasonable prices.

Food is good but most of it seems to be dripping oil. The base spices seem to be similar in all the dishes. Would have rated 4 stars but the after taste of oil is not good. Definitely not a healthy option if you're looking for one.

This place has mythical status... Been around forever and very popular with the local crowds. We moved out of the neighborhood years ago, but still make the trip to this restaurant once in a while.

Szechuan Gourmet Restaurant
Very good Chinese food restaurant in the Thornhill area. Outside of the great restaurants downtown, this place is at a higher level than the other local restaurants that are similar in Thornhill. The ginger chicken and lemon chicken are great standouts. The ginger sauce I have never tried anything like it in the other restaurants I have been to in and around Toronto. The batter of the lemon chicken and the chicken balls and deep fried shrimp is nice and crispy and pairs well with the fried rice, chicken or pork variety.Their hot chili oil is exemplary. I use that stuff to flavour my rice there and it goes well with any of their fried fare. A great restaurant if you want some decadent and greasy Chinese food. I would highly recommend eating in house as anything fried is best served as fresh as possible but even when we have gotten them to deliver their food still holds up well.

Good food and large portions, went here for my father's birthday. They were nice. I brought in a cake from outside and they took it in the back and put candles on it and brought it out at the end.

Great customer service. Food was fresh and tasted great. We got the chicken pakora..which is on a secret" menu. It was delicious! We also ordered chilli chicken

Absolutely delicious lemon chicken. Will be back soon. Nice staff, good washrooms, a little upscale but treat yourself sometimes.

Szechuan Gourmet Restaurant
Been looking for a good Szechuan place for a while. Had the Dried Szechuan Shredded Beef, Crispy Ginger Chicken, Cantonese Chow Mein, and Fried Chili Squid. All was fantastic with fast friendly service. We'll definitely come back.
