Maleta School

One of a kind daycare. The kids feel like home and learn while playing. The classroom and the backyard are great spaces with different areas so the little ones can explore and develop their interests. A caring, respectful and playful teacher makes it perfect for the kids to feel safe and happy. All in a Spanish speaker environment. My kid loved it and he is always enthusiastic about spend time with Alicia (the teacher) when we can join her in the rest of the activities that she offers now that he is not in preschool anymore.

My little boy did Spanish summer camp in 2021. And he absolutely loved it. He was a happy camper, every morning he would wake up with a smile on his face because he was going to see Alicia and his new friends, every time I picked him up he was telling me all about his day in spanish. He really enjoyed it. I really recommend it.

My 3 year old daughter attended summer camp last July and she absolutely loved it. Alicia is an incredible maestra! She really puts a lot of effort preparing each day with new activities, games, new materials, books, and most importantly understanding each kid’s needs. My daughter was such a happy camper, at pick up time she always had stories about new things she’d learned that day at Alicia’s school and how much fun she had with her new friends. We will be back next year!

At this school you will only find love and respect with greatest dignity for your child. The activities are well selected and prepared for children. My little one who started to attend the school since he is 2.5, looks forward every day to go to Learning Spanish school. On the weekends he asks if he could go to school!I noticed big changes in my child’s behaviour, and he gained more confidence, patience, and fluidity to his movements.At school, kids learn practical life, which means at home he wants to help you in the kitchen and clean the house.I love the fact that the class is small and mixed age. We definitely picked up only good habits from this school.It’s Spanish immersed program, which is an added bonus if you wish to raise a bilingual/ multilingual child. We don’t speak Spanish at home, and my little one sometimes would say words in Spanish if I have not taught him the word in English.The school also offers music lessons and book readings which I highly recommend as well.

I had been searching for Spanish language daycare/preschool for my children all over the GTA for a few years and was so fortunate to have finally found Alicia and Maleta School in Oakville. Maleta School’s programs have given our young children the opportunity to practice Spanish in a natural environment and be immersed in Spanish and Latin American culture which is important to our bilingual family.My son attended Maleta preschool and summer camp this past year and not only did his speaking and understanding of the language improve, he gained so much confidence and made some great friends.
