HotShop Spin Studio Mission

I'd like to preface that I have not attended any of the classes offered by this spin studio, but I definitely don't intend to after witnessing the appalling behavior of their staff members today.Various staff members attending the Lilac Festival this weekend (as vendors) were incredibly rude to neighbouring vendors. Despite numerous noise complaints, as well as the event organizers following up with security, they refused to turn the volume of their music down, played explicit songs in a family setting and during a family-oriented event, and they even hassled and effectively bullied a fellow vendor for even daring to ask them to turn their music down.This experience was incredibly awful and this kind of behaviour and lack of empathy towards other vendors and event attendees is hardly the kind of attitude you'd expect from a business that promotes wellness. Not only did this impact the business of other vendors, but multiple people with hearing disabilities expressed upset over not being able to hear well enough to purchase products from other booths.All in all, if you're looking for a friendly, positive, and inclusive spin studio, I highly recommend you look elsewhere.

So I am terrible at spin. Like terrible. But every time I’ve been in Calgary for work recently, I go to Hotshop. The staff are so inclusive and encouraging, I get a great burn and the music almost makes me forget that I’m dying on the bike. Couldn’t recommend more!!

HotShop has incredible energy: Excellent instructors, best playlists, and welcoming to new people. Highly recommend.

As someone who always is awkward when going to a studio for the first time can say.. you will not have this problem as soon as you walk in. Everyone is so friendly and make attending classes comfortable and fun! Whatever your level.. the instructors and staff are great! . So inclusive and the tunes really motivate!!!

Have gone to this studio a few times and have loved it! However due to traffic I was late for one of my reservations. Unfortunately because I was over 5 minutes late (7 to be exact) they would not let me in. I generally understand policies and why they are in place however due to things that were completely out of my control I was not able to take the one hour I desperately needed for my self care. I am a new mother to a baby and taking time to prioritize myself and my health is hard at the best of times, never mind having the energy at the end of the day and all night of caring for an infant. Not only did I waste an hour of my precious time driving to and from the studio but am out having to find childcare for that time that was completely wasted. I was given the option to return in a hour for the next class which I could not do as I had to return to my child or credits back. In the future I hope that there is more grace for someone’s situation, especially so close to their time policy threshold. Not inclined to return to this studio after this experience.

Hands down amazeballs classes...so much energy and motivation at this spin studio, but by far my favorite instructor has got to be Jill Brophy-her playlists are amazing, so on point & in sync with her choreography. She has the best cues!! Not only do I LOVE the challenge of spin cardio all the time; but she varies her themes such a hard uphill ride coupled with core during one track and then before you can even figure out if you have it in you..you are onto the the next track of a 30 -45 second ALL OUT! I'd love to see more offerings of her classes fo'sure!!!

Tried spin class for the first time. The facility was modern, comfortable, and very clean. The staff were the highlights and were so friendly and accommodating. Devan is a great instructor and kept it fun and engaging.

I enjoy doing my spin sessions here. This studio has the best changing/shower rooms out of most of the Hotshop studios. Also, the staff are super friendly and the instructors are amazing! I always feel welcomed at this studio.

Great spin studio with an awesome community. Really enjoy the teachers. Shout out to Sergio, Marco,Amanda, Steph, and Nic for keeping me working.The woman's change room is large with ample coat space and they provide hair ties and little things that you may have forgotten. Tiny lockers located at the front if you have valuables.The studio itself is lovely but new so you they are still adding features. The bikes are spaced out a bit more than other studios which is nice.

This is the spot to sweat!!!! I have never encountered a fitness studio with staff as courteous and caring as HotShop Mission. They are super enthusiastic about rides and celebrate attendees of every ability. The location is amazing and it's super easy to get to classes before & after work and even on a lunch break. The music and choreography is always fun and definitely leaves me in a real good mood. Can't wait to ride with you again, HotShop :)
