This is a terrible home to have anyone you love reside in. My mother was abused, and the evidence was caught on a camera we had set up in my mother's room. Even with proof, Sienna Living, Regional Vice President, and higher up staff decided to keep the staff member on, and is still working there. I guess they will only do something if the resident dies, MAYBE...BEWARE!!!From personal experience I would suggest if you have a resident in this home, that you put a camera in the room for your own sanity, and hopefully what happened to my mother doesn't happen to your loved one.

The nurses and PSWs have mostly taken very good care of my loved one. They have been patient, thorough, caring and professional for which I am grateful. But, it has been necessary for me to complain many times. Over and over again, I've had to ask for the same basic things to help my resident, e.g. more frequent toileting. The legislation for running long term care homes can be very vaguely worded or don't cover situations at all that could come up in a LTC home. So, it's necessary to mostly complain to the management at Weston Terrace instead of filing an official complaint with the Long Term Care Action Line.As a family member/POA, it is very frustrating in dealing with this for-profit nursing home for so many reasons, including the frequent COVID outbreaks (my loved one caught COVID there but recovered), the disturbingly high turnover of staff members on the home areas and even in management, lost and damaged clothing, the unacceptable food, not enough parking, etc. To try to avoid the clothing problems, I buy clothing from thrift stores for my loved one to minimize financial losses.Re the staff turnover, residents need continuity of care whereby the staff member gets to know the resident. In turn, they would be in a better position to determine the resident's needs and realize more quickly if that resident is showing symptoms of being sick or depressed, etc.Maybe these problems are in existence at other nursing homes, too, but I don't know. It's too late to try to transfer my loved one to another nursing home. I can understand why other family members get frustrated and apathetic but I will continue to be as helpful as possible on behalf of my loved one and the other residents, if possible. I urge everyone to speak up if there is a problem. The management team strikes me as trying hard to make this an excellent LTC home. But, I can't really give a full recommendation to anyone considering a move there.

I cannot express how happy I am with the love, care and compassion of every single staff member that has cared for my father for 6 years and now my mother at Weston Terrace. I highly recommend this place. The environment is very clean and the values and principles are A plus. The food is great too. The team is consistantly kind and helpful. I can't thank them enough. I feel good every time I come here to spend time with my mom because I know she is in excellent hands.

I adore the staff here. They take such good care of my mom and always have jokes and cheer when I visit. I also love how they are still doing covid testing for anyone that visit. Also give you communications if something happens at the home or in the area.Great place.Wish the employees there got paid more because they work so hard!

Very sad how senior staff do not welcome new staff and the DOC is not in charge. The senior staff delegate not management. Horrible place to work. No unity. Old Person support workers with no update education in geriatrics or mental health or even this pandemic.
