Awesome spot, very cozy and cool atmosphere inside, drinks were very exciting and interest. I had the earl gray and scotch cocktail, as well as mushroom gyoza split between our group and then the grilled eel dish with pork belly added. Great food, very attentive and helpful server; when one of our drinks was a bit too strong tasting they added in a bit of simple syrup to even it out. Fair price for the quality of the food and drink that they make.

Great service, friendly staff. The food was good, but I'm not a big fan of the broth the ramen was in.

Love this place! - cocktails were amazing, really enjoyed “The Japanese Quarter”, also liked the scallop on the half shell, the gyoza, the ika skewers (squid was cooked really nicely!) Gotta come back to check out the rest of the menu!

An excellent break from the Haligonian rain. Arrived at Kyo and was immediately treated with exceptional hospitality. The cocktails are incredible, authentic Japanese roots with an Americanized fusion.Would return 10/10. Bartender is fantastic, creative- and passionate. Would hand each cocktail to you personally.Couldn’t praise them more :)

Accessible restaurant with live jazz music the night that we went (Thursday). Really crowded with different groups sitting next to each other at the same table. The food was mediocre with most of the table ordering ramen and not really enjoying the taste of the blandness of the broth. Food presentation was wonderful, but overall experience was bad with long wait times and one member of our table being served 15 minutes after everyone else due to rice not being available. The unagi don was $23 for a small portion of unagi and was not worth it.Cocktails were good and it was great to see many mocktail options. The live music, although nice, was too loud and made it necessary to sometimes yell across the table in order to hear each other. The restaurant is close to bus stops and tourist attractions and there is also a patio facing the street and Grand Parade in the summer.

Wooow! I went here with my friends during our vacation and we were all super happy! The staff ist just brilliant: Friendly, helpful and attentive. The first thing they told us is that they have a new menu. As a vegan I love when vegan meals are clearly marked, which they are. And there are plenty! My favorites were the edamame (they make them with chili/sesame oil and garlic) and the miso tofu don. The food seems very authentic, too. And the atmosphere is nice!

Best service in town, but the food was soooooo bad. Way too salty that it needed to be remake by pooring the boil water in but told me that they would remake it (words from this server and action from the other) and no flavour at all, just taste the salt and water. The drink is fine tho.

We came early on a Thursday with our 3 young kids. They accommodated our family beautifully. The kids loved their special drinks. The adult cocktails were very good. Food was delicious! A jazz band was warming up and we were told that every Thursday night jazz starts at 7p!

Katsu waa great, our ramen sadly was not. It was cold and so was the toppings. The waitress was wonderful and offered solutions to fix it and took our feedback positively. We highly praise her for being wonderful.
