Bears Furniture & Appliances

As a brand new home owner I had to buy 9 separate appliances and a bunch of furniture from Bears. The owner and his employee were helpful and seemingly gave me a great deal when I dropped 10,000 dollars into their cash register. 19 months later I have had the fridge serviced 3 times and one of the washers malfunction. I went to Bears and received absolutely no help. After 3 visits there today looking to at first replace the washer. Then returning the second time to get paper work (which wasn't even correct) with which to contact Electrolux. And finally a third when I discovered that I had been mislead about the nature of the products warranty and went to speak with the owner about it. I was treated poorly and told an outright lie about there being no service rep for Electrolux in our area. If there is no service rep for Electrolux sir, why did you sell them to me stating that they had a 1 year parts and service guarantee? So for those who gave 5 stars claiming they have great service take this is a WARNING, you may get great service as you hand over your $ but BEWARE that this store has a reputation in Nelson for not standing by their products or promises. Do yourself a favour and go shop at Floyd's instead. He has integrity.

Bought 5 appliances plus the extended warranty base on them having repair people to fix the appliances they suggested I buy. Find out that there is no one in my area and hasn't been for over a year. Wouldnt buy from them again...everSecond post...Bears knew I was moving remotely since the address is on the invoice. You can't help me even though you said to buy these appliance types' since someone could service them. You can't help me out

2 stars for the service. I bought a fridge from Bears website and asked to let me know when it will arrive. They didn't. The astimated date has delayed, no call from Bears. I called again to ask what's the... Finally I do get the call, the fridge is here!!! They tell me at the store that the fridge is huge and industrial size. It made me scared. On the web the description was fridge for family of 4. I hoped for the best. Anyways it took another 2 week and the size just normal. I could ordered it online myself, but bought it through the shop cause I hoped to get a better service. So funny :)

Had exactly what I wanted in stocks and on sale! Does it get any better?

We purchased a Whirlpool pool washer and Dryer from Bears last April. The washer had had nonstop issues with water level and cycling loads. We first contacted Bears which said we should contact Whirlpool. Whirlpool then sent out a technician who attributes it to water pressure. Our dishwasher runs great we have 40-50 psi pressure. Now the Machine will no longer even fill.. Dissapointed with lack of service from either parties and an almost year old Machine which is nearly useless.. Frustrated!

Nice folks, but I don't think I would recommend them or purchase through them again. I wanted to support a local business, so I purchased a stove, dishwasher and fridge in November and was told they'd be delivered in 'a couple of weeks'. Called to check after 3 weeks and was told they were just waiting for my fridge, but they'd be here before Christmas. Going into week 9 now. Called again and they got back to tell me the fridge was backordered.....but should be here soon. Could have driven over to Castlegar and had my appliances in a few days.

Went black Friday shopping and found Bears had better regular pricing than the others with the big sale. Easy to talk to salesmen no pressure or awkwardness and good selection. I’m going back again and I suggest you do to.
