Went in for a quick flat repair today - Mike was super helpful, walked me through the process so I can do it myself next time (wish I would have learned years ago). Kindness, good service and a little patience goes a long way; will return for any requirements in the future. Thanks!

I came to bateman’s to find a new bike as mine had a complete break in the frame. Mike recommended a lovely Opus 9-speed which I liked; however I still wanted to try a peddle-assist bike that they didn’t carry. Mike allowed me to purchase the bike and ride it over to the other bike store, and assured me a full refund if I wanted to get the peddle-assist. I ended up getting the peddle-assist, so essentially Mike provided me with a free ride. He was honest, kind, knowledgeable; and I got to pet adorable Radler, the store dog. Thanks so much Mike!

Recently purchased a new bike here. Had excellent communication pre-purchase, and in store service at time of purchase was very helpful. Great price on bike, was worth driving in from SW Ontario

100% biased review alert as I ride for Bateman’s.But what I can tell you is between Rob, Mike and the rest of the sales team they have all types of cycling covered with deep knowledge—XC to enduro, road to gravel to CX, and all the city riding and hauling you want.Then Kris and the service team can repair anything and solve the most obscure of mechanical/technical challenges. They’ve expanded the repair shop to one of the largest (if not the largest) in Toronto.But the magic is how it all comes together to support an inclusive community of good people on bikes. There’s the team for more competitive spirits. There’s a club with casual rides—often built around inclusivity to tackle some of the stigmas/stereotypes around cycling.The only thing you might be disappointed about is because they’re so good, so popular they are busy so service might not be scheduled as “immediately” as you’d like.They’re good people doing good things, and they help make my cycling dreams come true, which is why I choose to support Bateman’s!

This was the only bike shop in the neighbourhood open as early as I needed. I came in to try to find a replacement seat post clamp. They had exactly what I needed, fixed it right away, and refused to accept payment! Kindness like this makes our community a better place. What a wonderful shop - I’ll definitely be back!

I live in Gatineau and purchased my daughter’s bike at this shop because the price was very good.Even though my purchase was during the holidays, all my questions through emails we’re answered promptly.Robert Bateman went above and beyond in order to find a solution to get the bike to me in Gatineau.He arranged a pickup at his store and got it delivered to my house within few days only.I am very pleased with the service that I got and honestly if you are hesitating between this Bateman’s Bicylcle company shop and another bike shop, don’t think twice ! I’ve been coming to Bateman’s on and off for the past 5 years. The first time I was there my family and I rented a few bikes to tour the city during the summer. I was so happy with the bike and service offered that I bought a bike from Bateman’s the week after!After that I kept coming back because the staff, besides being friendly and knowledgeable, were always honest with me and never did I get that feeling that “they’re just trying to sell me things” (which I’ve repeatedly gotten from other bike shops on the city).Recently I dropped off my bike which needed some service. A few days later they emailed letting me know the bike was ready for pickup… because of work I couldn’t pick it up soon. Mike offered to store my bike for over a week until I could pick it up.Needless to say Bateman’s is an amazing bike shop and one which I’ll continue to use as long as I’m in Toronto. Highly recommend!

So i caught the bike bug and have been to a couple of shops around toronto. Mike and the guys at batemans helped hook me up with a sweet first mountain bike and its perfect for what i need. They have done a great job helping me with everything i need even during this interesting time. I have been back a couple of times now for some odds and ends and they have been consistent in service. Great attitudes, great products, highly reccomend batemans to anyone who's looking for a bike shop!
