Capital City Dance

When looking for a new dance studio for my daughters, I was initially drawn to Capital City Dance by the personable and authentic energy of its owners, Mike and Gabe. As well, it was immediately evident to me that CCD was a space where dancers of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds, beliefs and abilities were welcome and valued. It was a good call! Over the last seven years at CCD, I have watched my daughters move through the recreational, part-time and full-time competitive teams and flourish in both skill and confidence. CCD’s dance educators are extremely talented and gifted dancers themselves, and they are as passionate about their students’ training as strong dancers as they are about their growth as positive and respectful teammates and people. The top-notch dance training, inclusive and diverse atmosphere, and supportive “CCD Family” environment are what make Capital City Dance truly stand out as the best studio in Ottawa!

Good little dance studio. Has hip-hop and ballet classes. My daughter enjoys both. Also has comfortable seats as well as screens to watch your child dance while you wait.

My girls have been with CCD for the past three years, after being at a different studio previously. We can say with confidence that Capital City Dance is bar none the best place for dance in the city! The atmosphere is welcoming for the whole family. The teachers are fun and highly qualified. The competition results are most impressive. It is the place to be to dance!

Capital City Dance isn’t really a dance studio in a building at Westgate or in Kanata, it’s a Culture that the studio owners Mike and Gabe have created that gives kids a safe environment to be themselves, to feel safe to grow and build relationships , to express themselves and to Thrive, truly a family.My daughter's growth as a dancer over the past 6 years has been Amazing thanks to CCD’s Excellent Dance Training and Educators and we are very thankful for that, but the skills and strengths she’s gained because the directors and dance educators supported her, listened to her, valued her and pushed her when she needed it are what I am most grateful for.My daughter and I will both cherish the Lifelong memories made as part of the CCD competitive dance team family.It’s a Shame we missed two years thanks to the Global pandemic, but Mike and Gabe did such a Great job of keeping the dancers engaged through very challenging times, which was truly invaluable for their Mental HealthMy daughter danced at multiple studios prior to coming to CCD, and without hesitation, I can say Capital City Dance is the best dance studio and environment in our Community.

My daughter has been dancing with CCD for 5 years and her progression has been amazing. She started in recreational and ballet, then part time competitive and is now in the full time competitive team. The owners and teachers are great! They continuously improve the way they teach technique and performance, but they also take the time to work on each student’s confidence, personal growth and wellbeing. As parents we are also very well supported, informed and an integral part of the team. In short, it’s not just a hashtag, it truly is #CCDFamily !

Capital City Dance boasts beautiful, newly renovated facilities, top-notch teaching staff and exceptional training all wrapped up in a warm, welcoming environment. My daughter has danced at Capital City for over 10 years now, starting as a recreational dancer and then moving into the part-time and now the full-time competitive program. Mike & Gabe, the owners and head teachers, are exceptional and they have gathered an incredible staff who work with children of all ages and at all stages of their dance careers - from tiny two-year olds all the way to those pursuing a professional career in dance. They offer a wide variety of styles & classes to meet everyone’s needs and everyone is welcome. Capital City Dance has had a hugely positive impact on my daughter and our whole family. #ccdfamily

Capital City Dance - my daughter has been dancing here for approximately 8 years. The location is great and the instruction she has received has been invaluable. She and we have made some wonderful friendships. We all thoroughly enjoy the competitions. Thank you CCD!

Our daughter has been dancing at the CCD studio for only a year, after we moved from the US, where she started dancing. We have been very pleased to see her progress in different genres of dancing. Her ballet techniques greatly improved, her growth in tap was huge, like day and night comparing to her level a year ago. She loves coming to her dance classes, as school has a welcoming and friendly environment. Teachers are passionate and enthusiastic about teaching. Lisa went over above to make my son feel comfortable at his first dance Disney camp this summer. They are a very professional and highly communicative business. They were very accommodating to differing personalities and the camp counsellors were very engaging with the children. I will register my children for future programs.
