Thrifty Car and Van Rental Inverness

This is the second time I have had to use Thrifty, as the car was a arranged by Hyundai assist, the first time I left the car at the Hyundai dealership and they collected it from there, not long after a received an email showing a a dent in the rear bumper, which had not been caused by me, but because I wasn’t there on the handover I was unable to walk around with the pick up driver and I had to pay £88 due to so called damage. Today I returned the second hire straight to them and they went over it with a fine tooth comb, they pointed out a small 1mm chip on the side of the screen and then said there was soiling on the back seats, which amazed me as no one had been in the back and only I had been in the car! I would highly recommend looking for another rental company if possible, I have used other companies before but none have gone to the lengths of finding problems as Thrifty.

Excellent service from Alexander. Hire a car for the long weekend.Good choice of cars especially if you fancy a upmarket car.We had a Velar which was brilliant for us.This was our 2nd time using Thrifty Inverness and will definitely use again.

Had a great experience with Thrifty and after so many bad ones with other rental companies I wanted to do something I never normally do and write a review. The member of staff called Alex was most helpful in the rental process and he was very welcoming. Everything went smoothly and efficiently and I was on my way in no time. The Van was pure class, and brand new. Got great value from this rental. Will be using Thrifty in the future for sure! Thanks Alex

Just dropped off hire car which similar to last reviewer was from hyundai insurance and lo and behold found a micro scuff on one wheel. Had the car for over a month and this in any normal persons book would be reasonable wear and tear. To add insult to injury charged over £120, what a kind xmas present!I showed pic to local bodyshop who reckoned less than half that price but said who in right mind would be bothered with such insignificant scuff.In short people AVOID as you won't ever see your deposit again and worse! Go to a reputable hire co. if you have the choice. I sadly didnt.

Very good experience at Thrifty Inverness. From de lift at the station, to the welcoming by Thomaz and the check out, everything was perfect and everyone have been pleasant.We received an upgrade of our booking by a wonderful bmw 3 série full options in place of a 1 serie. We really really enjoyed it ! I appreciated the good rate for the quality of the car. If I have to say something negative, it would be useful to have winter tyres on the car due to the amount of snow we had. It was tricky at some moments. But anyway, we survived :-)))We will come back at your agency for our next trip in Scotland (NC500) ...undoubtedly ;-)Thank you

Great experience renting a vehicle with Thrifty! My fiancé and I were picked up at the Inverness airport and driven to the Harbour Rd location where the cars are kept by a lovely employee named Keith. The vehicle we'd booked was returned earlier in the day with damage, and the replacement vehicle was blocked in with no keys to move the vehicle blocking it. Staff were incredibly apologetic, and provided a free upgrade to an SUV. They quickly cleaned the SUV (as it was the car we were picked up in), and completed a damage report. Chris went over the damage report thoroughly with my fiancé, and showed us all of the features of the vehicle. Completing the paperwork with Alexander was easy and straightforward as well; no additional insurance was pushed on us. All three employees we dealt with were friendly, efficient, and very apologetic. They stayed after hours to get this done, and we'd recommend them to everyone!

We were so impressed by Thrifty in Inverness. Having previously suffered ridiculously long waits with the big car rental firms at the airport (last year it took longer to get a car I had booked and paid for on line than it took to fly from London!) I searched for an off-airport firm that would collect. As soon as we landed our driver was there and took us to the depot in the city. Very helpful and prompt service from David on the desk and a spotless car was handed over with our luggage already loaded. Thank you so much Thrifty. Top marks for value, quality and customer care.

Excellent service in Inverness. David was lovely and very helpful. Being a young driver, it was tough to find a company that would even rent to me, but I had a great experience with Thrifty. Pickup and return was no hassle.

Great price, service, and brand new vehicle! The only thing i would have asked for was a staff member to give me a quick run down of the vehicle. We had booked a transit, but was upgraded to a larger vehicle, which i hadn't driven before. Apart from that, amazing service and would highly recommend.

Really good vehicles. Clean, new and good conditions. Great and quick service throughout pick up and drop. They even picked us up from the station and called a cab on the way back. Our train was running late (we had to change the pick up time twice)but the staff was really nice about it.
