We met Roald through friends and from the passionate way he spoke about his work, we decided to ask him to help with light renovation's at our home - we had planned to do this for years, but never trusted that anyone could help us achieve the end product we had in mind. He was meticulous and always friendly - plus he had some great advice! We are really happy - ecstatic - with the end product and can only recommend him with five stars! Recently Roald Smith construction completed a renovation at our home. They replaced our popcorn ceiling throughout with drywall, replaced carpet in two bedrooms with hardwood and reconstructed a bedroom into an ensuite bathroom. We are very pleased with all aspects of this project. We are also impressed by the professionalism of all the employees and their quality of work.We would not hesitate to highly recommend this company to anyone considering any home renovations.

We have had the benefit of a range of services of Roald Smith Construction on at least four occasions over the past 10 years in our (older) home in Kingston. The staff working on these projects have always been very professional and pleasant, and the finished work exemplary – and I might add, they are particularly careful to tidy up after their work! Most recently the team at Roald Smith Construction helped us out with an emergency when our kitchen ceiling collapsed. I was fortunate enough to work for this company for years, and learn many of my skills in the trade from Roald himself. He is passionate and meticulous about his work, unhappy with anything less that perfection and precision. One of the hardest working, most upfront and honest people I've met, with an incredible work ethic and ability to deliver the finest product on time, on budget at competitive prices. On numerous occasions He, myself, and others in the company would happily cut into our own time to accommodate customers. He runs an old fashioned company where you as the client aren't just a customer but often turns into a wonderful business relationship and friendship. I highly recommend Roald Smith Construction for renovations or building a house or for anything to do in order to make your house nice. I got to know them 2 years ago when I decided to renovate my kitchen and master bedroom. Their work is amazing! In order to ensure that they finished Christmas, they even worked on weekends! Because of the first wonderful experience , I asked them to demolish an old house and build a new one for me. It turned out to be another perfect experience and beautiful work! In summary, I have three reasons to recommend this company. First, quality:they use good materials and their work is wonderful. Second, reasonable price: Roald Smith, the owner, is a honest and easy going person and always keeps his word. Third, great after-sale service: when I came across anything related to the reno or the building, I contacted them, they always were there and gave me the best suggestions and support.Roald Smith Construction is a great team!
