Express Pickup is a bit of an exaggeration. They do however have a lot of unique items.

Had an item I needed, grabbed my number and waited patiently and they got to me with no issue. Found the item and transaction was completed within 2 mins. Great service here and clean store, don’t forget to get a number if you want to be served!

So friendly stuff

They should have a line for cash payments instead of taking a number. This took over 25 minutes to pay for a $10 item

Very knowledgeable and service minded staff. They know everything in detail when needed. A pleasant experience to visit your store.

The company gives the illusion of quality but in reality not so much. Several items I purchased from Lee Valley were simply horrible in terms of design, quality, and value.One such example is the downspout diverter, the design makes it basically useless as it traps leaves and require taking apart for cleaning after each rain to prevent overflow. Another example is the hanging basket pulley, the quality is no different than the ones purchased from amazon at a fraction of the price.Lee Valley website also does not allow review or ratings on their products (as of Mar 2023). I suppose having reviews would make it difficult to maintain their brand of “high quality”.

A lot of good quality gardening tools and gadgets. Prices for those gardening tools are expensive, but you are paying for the quality.

The customer service at this store is magnificent. They really stand behind their products. I have been working with a faulty tool and was invited to exchange it despite having thrown out the receipt. I was treated with respect and understanding, and then directed to an expert in pyrography to help connect me with helpful products. I appreciate how stress-free the whole process was, and left feeling excited to get back to work. Amazing staff!

Great selection of products in a wide range of interests. Quality and not too bad prices. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable. You may end up buying more stuff than what you went in for.

I was expecting a store with a whole bunch of aisles and loads of tools and accessories to look at. (Sorta like Princess Auto). I went there specifically to speak with so do e about a very specific accessory on hopes to get professional help. Unfortunately, although the floor man was knowledgeable. Just had no knowledge on what I was looking for. I know we can't all know everything.....but I was just disappointed to realize not only could I not get help, there wasn't much to look at and that they don't even offer a catalogue anymore to look at things and learn what tool/accessories can do when you didn't even know they existed until you see them in a catalogue. Maybe, it's just my old school style self who needs to get with the times. Maybe. But pictures and words go a long way. Lol
