SP Pump & Tanks - Septic Tank Pump-Out / Pump Replacements

First thing this morning our septic alarm goes off. At 7:30am we call SP. From the first call with Brian, to the follow up cal with Tanya the service was fantastic. They said we would have someone on-site to help by mid afternoon. Sure enough at about 12:30 Carson and Matt showed up. They identified the issue fairly quickly and repaired our pump, as well as making a couple fix-ups to the initial installation by others. They were extremely courteous and professional. Outstanding service all around. I will highly recommend SP to others

Honestly, I can't say I have had a better feeling and experience in dealing with a business in years. I needed a septic inspection done on a property I am purchasing and they made themselves available quickly and their cost was the lowest compared to of the three other places I called. This is wonderful but is not why I have made a point to come and leave this review. When I called the following day to chat about the inspection (as I had been out of town during) Brian was curious about the home and whether or not I would buy it and proceeded to spend an extra 20 minutes on the phone with me giving me some advice on items uncovered in the home inspection that happened the same day as he has other trades experience as well. He clearly cared about my overall experience in buying the home. He even asked me to let him know once I had decided to remove subjects because he would be wondering if I ended up buying it or not!Now that is good small-town customer service and hospitality in a time where it just isn't offered anymore. This is how everyone should run their business. 5 stars for Brian and SP Pump!

Make sure to get your quote in writing. Otherwise you are in for a surprise when you get the invoice.They won’t explain why they charge close to double the price compared to competitors.Update: Responding to the business’s comment: My experience with this company is from July 2021. I never left a review back then. But there was another incident last week (for someone else I know) which made me think I should write a review about my experience. My review is 100% based on my own experience.

I had Brian come and pump out my septic tanks . They had come by yesterday and told my wife I would have to remove the screws holding the lids on said they would be back Thursday which was not a problem for me so I got that done Wednesday morning called him said it was ready they showed up half an hour later got the job done very courteous and efficient .Told me how to fix a couple of problems myself , excellent service thanks

SP Pump & Tanks came on short notice to pump out our septic system. Everything went smoothly. Invoice for services was promptly generated and emailed out with a seamless payment process. I'd recommend them to pump out your septic tank.

I wish there was a chance for extra stars for this company. It is never a great feeling when the sewer alarm goes off on a Sunday night. I call sp Sunday night expecting to get a voicemail- they answered! Monday morning there was a team here- with the replacement pump and it was done with in an hour.When the invoice arrived there were no extra fees, no call out fee and to my surprise the amount quoted for the replacement pump/grinder included install, so no additional install costs. My neighbour had the exact same issue a year ago and his cost was double what we paid!Everyone has been such a delight to deal with and really made such a stressful situation so much easier.Thanks SP team!!

Septic backed up into basement and after calls to 5 different plumbers, only one responded.Although he was unable to help he did recommend SP.Blake arranged someone to come within a few hours (on a Sunday) and Jeff (not Dale) cleaned out the tank, tested the line, and was able to unplug the awkwardly located blockage.I absolutely recommend SP.

Brian, owner of SP Pump and Tanks returned our calls promptly. He showed up as scheduled and had the right equipment for the job. He pumped out our septic tank and made suggestions. These were fixed by him. He was courteous, efficient and knowledgeable. Very reasonably priced for the work he did. I would highly recommend his business to others.

We had a pump and inspection booked for this morning, we booked the appointment over a week ago as part of the sale of our house. We were under the impression that two trucks would show up at 10 a.m. 10:30 rolls around and still no trucks. My husband called the local Port Alberni number with no response, so he called the head office number and was informed that noone would be showing up today. They sent all of their trucks to a job in Sooke- without letting the pre-booked appointments know! The best they could do was get a truck out here in two weeks. Now we sit here with an exposed septic lid trying to get a last minute appointment with another company to make the conditions of our sale by the date we need to- which is days away because we had an appointment set already. This company will pick a big job over the little guy, and not even let them know. Incredibly disappointed, would not recommend!

Brian helped with advise about where my clog was most likely on my first call then I booked him to come do a tank clean out awesome service and local. He also noticed a few minor issues with the system and advised me on corrections I should do thanks again Brian
