My friend got screeched in, it would have been better if you could see and hear the activities. Maybe do it in a more comfortable area, away from the bar.

Worse place I have ever been , 90% of the staff was drunk . One staff member was talking about he drugs he did that day and being very rude and calling his boss some horrible things... That ended being true . None the less very unprofessional. The screech in was advertised at $15 , I was charged $30 and when I asked the owner/boss about it . He completely dismissed me, very rude. And said the sign was 12 years old and that it , that's the price . And just walked away.

STAY AWAY! To say that this is the worst bar on George St is an understatement. I walked into Trapper Johns hoping to get screeched in. They only do it once an hour so while we waited they took my friend’s credit card to open a tab and the obviously inebriated bartender challenged my friend and I to a game of foosball. When we lost he demanded we give him cash but when we refused he suggested we buy his girlfriend a drink on our tab instead. It was excessively weird but we rolled with it.Once the screeching in took place Terry the owner let us know that they’d accidentally given my friend’s credit card to another customer at the bar. They took no responsibility for the mistake. My friend had to cancel his card and deal with the bank and service providers to redirect all his bills. It was a major hassle. Trapper Johns took no responsibility for the mistake and actively tried to make my friend feel badly about the situation.Worst bar on George Street bar none.

Staff are friendly, drink prices are fair and the place has a great ambience.Lots of history and mementos throughout the place.Comedy night is a hit and they do a good job on the screech in - especially if you have a big crowd.

Such a fun little place. Old and kinda run down but incredibly funky. Trapper Bobby Screeched" me in and was hilarious throughout the ceremony. It wasn't busy that night so he kept us entertained with his stories and jokes."

This is where I got schreeched in". I had to kiss the codfish and drink some rum. All in good fun. The place has lots of history and is a little rough around the edges

Trapper John’s is absolutely legendary. 150,000 people screeched in and counting. The staff are all amazing, and the owner has etched his place as a part of St. John’s history for sure
