Guildford Town Centre Dental

Just got permanent crowns and bridges done at Guildford Town Centre Dental, By the Dentist who's first name is Ali. He did a great job and made sure it was pain free each visit. My teeth look fantastic and I never thought I would have this nice smile again. His assistant, Phoebe was also very nice and professional. The office staff/reception are also nice to deal with and very helpful. My wife and kids also go here. Overall this has been a good dental experience.

I had a very nice experience during my first visit. The staff were great and the service was thorough and excellent.

I went into this dental office for a cleaning and everything went well with the dental hygienist. I then went into the office for 2 cavity fillings on my right side. The dental assistant had no idea what she was doing. The dentist was guiding her and correcting her throughout my whole filling. She never gave suction unless the dentist prompted her. The dentist then had a third hygienist come in to place rubber down in my mouth. Once it was placed I sat there for 10 minutes unattended. By the time the dentist came back, the numbing had worn down and she had to give me another injection. Once I was home and the numbing wore off, my tooth felt so gritty. The dentist didn’t smooth out the fillings. I called the dental office the next morning and the office staff told me that since I was numb I wasn't able to tell the dentist it was not smooth, so they basically blamed it on me. She then said sometimes it’s normal, but the dentist wouldn’t be back for 3 days. I asked if there was another dentist in and why they felt the need to make me wait so many days, when there are multiple dentists at the practice. She then said it would be fine for me to come in and see another dentist. Horrible service, extremely uncomfortable procedure and unprofessional office. Find a different dental office.

Dr. Ali Nasirshamsabad is a phenomenal dentist!! He literally spent 20-30 mins just explaining to the lab technician how to make the teeth in order for it to match. On top of his excellent attention to detail his work is top notch. No doubt ill be referring anyone looking for a dentist to him

Dr. Kaur is the best dentist I have ever been to! She’s always so gentle, calm, friendly and kind. It amazes me how she can freeze me without feeling anything at all. Her dental assistant, sorry I forgot her name is so caring and it’s always a pleasant experience under both of their care. Their tandem is so wonderful!

New update: went in person to book a cleaning for next day 10am as I told the receptionist I only have that day and the next day off. WALKED all the way there only to find out they don't even have a hygenist on at all and my supposed appointment wasscheduled for another day instead which I work 10am so I can't make it. It is very annoying and inconvenience to do that to anyone. I highly suspect that the front desk girl did that on purpose. Then how do you book someone in for next day if you don't have any hygenist scheduled. Shouldn't you know who's in and not on if you work there?Highly recommend Dr.Shafiey. He is friendly,caring and highly skilled. He took care of my tooth pain and fixed it. No more pain and I can finally enjoy food again after being in pain for a month. He saved my tooth from having a root canal and no more throbbing pain or sensitivity.Thank you ***My hubby went in for one filling but came out with two fillings done and billed without his consent or asked him if he wanted the second one done. He was only aware of one and in chair only 25 minutes when its done the dentist told him that she saw another one and quickly patched it. Good thing he's got coverage but can you imagine if someone had no insurance coverage and had to pay themselves, that's shady don't you think to pull that kind of stunt on your new patient whom I referred over. Anyways he said he's not going back there for future fillings anymore. Thanks a lot guys for ruining my word of mouth referral thinking it might be better and less scammy. He said the cleaning was okay but who goes in for 1 filling and come out with 2 done. Next time you ashould ask the patient before making that kind of call considering it's a surface acid etched bicuspids fill that costs $221 each times 2 total $442 on his receipt.As for my own experience I was told to replace my existing silver fillings and there's some residual silver on one tooth. I went back next day to address my concern to my hygenist and without even looking at it she just brushed me off saying that's just the shadow. Well then can you polish off the silver shadow? I hate to have to go thru the pain of 2 hours and now have it not done right the first tme around and now my teeth is sensitive to even brushingwhich was fine before. Really regret doing it cuz the bite seemed off now and not the comfort as before. Mine was more expensive than my hubby and more needless pain so they can get profit. I'm starting to wonder if there's a regulatory policing for bc dental association's for this. They only responds to positive reviews BTW. The silver shadow is still there and it's super sensitive to eat on that side can't even eat cooked veggies on my left side now. New update went in to get my bite fixed. When I checked in and gave my name I could see the manager getting up right away going to the back to warn the doctor and staff. I'm glad I got my original hygienist I knew years ago she's really nice, knowledgeable and professional. Met Dr.Shafiey and he fixed my bite right on the spot even tho he didn't do the orignal filling and it feels much better now. Thank you Dr. Shafiey.

My low rating is very specific to one of the hygienists who work there by the name Navneet. My wife had her regular cleaning appointment last week and Navneet abrasively removed some of her gum tissues as well which was super painful for her.This was a breach of patient safety and unprofessional of her. Scaling is supposed to remove the build up on teeth and not the gums. My wife’s mouth was sore for 2 days and hurt badly. I’m attaching a couple photos to show the damage.Please consider getting your treatment from someone other than Navneet.

I went there to shadow CDA as per required by school program. The dental team was very friendly and professional and they were explaining all the steps to patient. I have been to other office for job shadow as well but will always choose this dental office as their infection control was 10/10.

Dr Shaffi has repaired my Crown with Epoxy Materials other Dentists Claim could not repaired and Suggested another $1000.00 Crown only one side was bad not entire Crown so was stillSolid overall can not afford to replace $1000.00 Crowns every 5 Years if still Structurally Solid so gratefully for Repair upgrades at a lower Cost Helps with Dental Expenses throughout the year I recommend this Procedure to all on a tight Budget
