Banza Noodle & Tea House
Wow! Banza Noodle & Tea House is a top contender for the best ramen spot I've been to in Winnipeg, and even across the east and west coast. It is instantly clear that care is put into each part of the experience. The take out packaging was high-quality, stylized material with extra cling wrap put in place to ensure there are no spills. Further, there was absolutely no residue on the outside of any container which meant all clothing and car seats were safe. I ordered the A1 Banza Bowl with wheat noodles and a side of takoyaki. This was a perfect amount to split, and there was no problem asking for a second bowl with which to share. Noodles and sauce came in separate containers, ensuring the home-made noodles stayed perfectly tender when ready to eat. The broth had a warm spice that caused my mouth to tingle in a way reminiscent of szechuan peppercorns. The heat was a gentle embrace, perfect for the fall weather.Takoyaki was also superb. A perfect balance of crispy exterior and soft, warm interior with all the expected accompaniments. Very difficult to find this balance!Downsides: Noodles were a bit too doughy and the octopus in the takoyaki was a bit too chewy.Overall, a superb noodle house. One of the best I've ever been to as a lover of ramen. Will absolutely return to try the other offerings!

Overall I'd recommend the ramen and soup, and I'd say avoid the boba drinks (overly soft/soggy boba). The beef noodle soup was the highlight. Get the beef soup with the tonkotsu noodles, and extra beef. Tonkotsu was more chicken-savory than pork, I liked it, but it didn't finish it like the beef bowl. Pork belly nicely browned. I'd come back and I'd recommend overall. I gotta say something gave me a stomach ache really fast, of note if you have a sensitive stomach. Full breakdown by food is below.Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen: 7/10 Good flavor to the broth. Pork was nice and browned. Noodles had a delicious chew. I usually like bean sprouts, idk why I hated them here, they ruined the bites they were in. Also compared to the beef noodle soup this bowl was kinda mid. If you like tonkotsu try this, if you don't I don't think it'll change your mind.Banza Beef Noodle Soup: 9/10 Y'all this broth, this is a must get if you like beef. So delicious. One thing I noticed is that the spice does start to override the flavor as you keep eating it so it's good to take breaks or get mild. I wish it had the tonkotsu noodles, I'll ask for those instead next time, and I'll order extra meat because the included wasn't enough imo. Came with yummy, crunchy bok choy, nice texture add. I wish I added corn, too, I wanted some sweetness to go with the spice. I might get mild next time to taste the beef better without being interrupted by the heat. Highly recommend!Bubble tea: 4/10 bobas weren't very firm, didn't taste fresh like you can get at Panda Tea. Pudding tasted good. Tea itself tasted good. Quantity of boba was small compared to other boba places and the quality was poor. If you drink boba often you might be disappointed by them. Wouldn't recommend.Sweet Rice Balls: 1/10 Favor? Watered down sweet oatmeal. Texture? Wet wheat powder, into not-very-firm rice balls. I did not like these. If you're into what I described you might like it. Wouldn't recommend.Langya Potato (spicy fries): 5/10 Texture was giving not-quite-cooked, weirdly starchy in the middle. The flavor was good, spicy potato, can't go wrong there. I wish these were crispy rather than soggy, and undercooked(???) with spice. Maybe serving sauce and potatoes separately would help with this? I wouldn't recommend these.

Went for Ramen for my first time, so don't have much to compare with. But it was tasty food and a good atmosphere. Service was well. I'd go back.

Hands down the best ramen place in the entire city. Quality of food is authentic and fresh. Service was quick and restaurant is clean and pleasant. Dishes are large portions and at around $15 per person. Highly recommend!

I don't recommend it... only thing that was decent at this restaurant was the tacoyaki which seemed to be made in house with good size octopus in it. It came out really crispy and fresh. The potato fries they had was too soft and spicy. Ramen was not at all authentic and serving time too a long... time. Service wasn't that memorable either. I see they have korean food on the menu too. Highly recommend going to an actual Korean restaurant for those. Menu has a lot of adjustments made in permanent markers... really confusing too.

Delicious food. It's a cute spot and works great for a quiet date. I ordered the Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, and my date got the Akuma Ramen(extra spicy!)The bubble teas are also incredibly delicious. Would go again!

The restaurant Banza has delicious noodles and dishes from different parts of Asia like China, Japan and Korea. We tried the Banza beef noodle soup and the Tankotsu misu ramen and both were great and generously served! The takoyaki was delicious as well! We also tried the mango matcha slushie and the taro bubble tea which have a pretty big size. The restaurant also has an amazing wall art which gives a really cool vive and overall is great!
