Prince of Whales - Whale Watching Adventures - Victoria

Went whale watching June 29, 2023. Departing from Grandville Island, BC. The reservation process and the instructions for departure was simple. We sat on the upper deck of the boat. Very spacious with several vantage points for viewing. Amanda was our Naturalist. She discussed safety protocol and took the opportunity to mingle with the passengers answering and sharing information in preparation for any marine animal viewing. She is informed and easygoing, Prince of Whales changes their sight viewing routes to optimize the opportunities to see Whales and other marine life, AND did we see Whales? We sighted three Whales one a calf less than an hour into the excursion, after we sighted Sea Lions with one huge male Jimbo" several Harbour Seals and an Eagle's nest with juvenile eagle and parents flying nearby. We sighted three whales

10/10 experience. Took the zodiac with 10 other people for about three hours and we saw several groups of orcas. Our skipper Mark was very knowledgeable and professional. And added bonus was the very fast (and at times not to back-friendly) speed boat experience :D

Incredible! We saw 3 different orca pods, and quite a few humpbacks! The zodiac boat tour is definitely the way to go if you are in good health, gets pretty bumpy but worth it for how close you get to the animals. Mark was an awesome and knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend!

An amazing experience. Great catamaran. We had an extraordinary day with sightings of very active transient orcas and on the second half of day found numerous humpbacks & sea lions. The naturalists onboard were very informative and friendly. This company can be found in the heart of Victoria Harbour across from the Empress Hotel under Milestones/and the visitor center.

Absolutely incredible time with the team tonight on a sunset tour! Saw some incredible whales (Orcas) and some harbour seals! I need to give a HUGE shoutout to Reid I believe was her name. She was an incredible part of the experience and a wealth of knowledge. She also we out of her way to sit close and hang out with my little girl which took a lot of stress off our shoulders as she kept running around but would calm down and hang with Reid! Thank you truly for making this a special moment. We will be back again this summer!

Had a Whale of time! Tour guide was awesome. Was cool so see all the seal and bird varieties. Saw a family of wild orca" about 20 feet from the boat. Exhilarating!!!"

The whale watching tour was the highlight of our trip to BC. The staff at the office were great and our guide was amazing ( George ) and he made the experience even better . He was knowledgeable and funny and we were able to see harbour seals, an eagle and the most breath taking view of a family of orcas that we were able to follow for a bit . Highly recommend and would absolutely do again.
