I asked to have the box mounted to my homes exterior cladding removed and the line ran directly into the basement so I wouldn't have to see a huge grey box that's only purpose was the keep the coaxial connection weather proof. ( seriously the company selling shaw these huge ugly boxes that are 90% empty space inside is getting a great profit off shaw ). Sasktel does not use such a box they send the cable right into the house. The reason I wanted this was I just bought this house and was getting it completely re painted professionally. The basement tenant moved in a year later and was also on shaw and was getting their services transferred over. Easy I thought as I was already on shaw and it was already wired into the basement. I come home from work to find the cables re fastened the length of my home screwed through my year old paint job and the hideous huge grey box was now back, also bolted through my cladding. After a week of trying to get through to a manager they offered a pathetic credit on my account and agreed to remove everything back to how they had it ( a wire into the basement as they had done before) Everything was removed off my cladding leaving holes everywhere and scraped paint where the box had been. As it has been a year paint cant be matched up and every hole in the boards means that every board needs painting. Now when people look at this side of the house and ask what happened? I have to retell the story of what SHAW did. I can not wait to get out of my contract.

Had Shaw sales people show up at my house and the sales tactics are absolutely terrible.They start asking questions about your service with no “do you have a few minutes to talk” or any preface.One person was clearly in training and following a script (I was understanding at the start because of the obvious inexperience and let them ask a few questions).I had to cut them off to say I didn’t have time for this at the moment (maybe if you asked first we could all waste less time?).Instead of asking if their was a better time or method of contact, they just continued to ask more questions about my service like I didn’t say anything.I told them I wasn’t comfortable continuing and asked them to leave and not come back.Three days later a different Shaw salesmen showed up at my door again.Based on the rest of the reviews left here I would say the trend of this company is to use any tactic necessary to rope customers in. I’ve decided to not use them just based on this and the rest of the reviews.Note to Shaw: People don’t want to be continually hassled with unsolicited door to door sales. People don’t want to talk to people using scripts that ignore you when you voice a concern. Your sales tactics smell of desperation. If you want more customers learn to treat them right.I want there to be competition telecommunications market but if this is it, I’ll pass.

Want to clarify this review is specific to the Installation Tech (Brayden G) servicing my account not Shaw as an ISP. Brayden was more than accomodating after I missed his home appointment. I may have forgotten about him but he never forgot about me. He took the time to contact me after hours and walk me through my options & set some alternative times. Was impressed by how professional, efficient and polite he was considering I wasted his time earlier in the day. Great person, deserves to be celebrated.

I just got a new contract with Shaw for 2 year length. The contract was setup incorrectly, so I had to wait an extra day to have Wi-Fi in the house. Customer service was definitely helpful but it was still a little annoying. I got the highest internet speed and so far the speed difference is negligible but am satisfied so far. I was told that I had to get Shaw Stream in order to get the deal, an extra $5 a month for rental, but I do not use it at all. I find it completely unnecessary as I already have a smart tv with everything I need. I will be contacting Shaw to see if I can return this machine as it doesn’t add anything to our viewing lives. For now, from what I can see, Shaw Stream just takes up room on our already crowded shelf without adding anything.I’m hoping with the better modem and higher speed, we will see less outages of our internet service. It was happening at least once a month or more with our old plan. Fingers crossed.

Glad that after three years of terrible Internet and stating that I'm not getting the level of service I'm paying for only to realize I'm only getting 20-45 Mbps when I'm paying for 300, they are willing to try switching out my modem.

They actually have good internet if you're willing to pay 120.00 dollars, but don't go with them because they have very evil contracts that are very expensive to cancel. Their number one priority is getting that contract with you. It's kind of parasitical.

0 stars if possible.Had 600mbps internet plan for $90/month. Got a call from someone on the other side of the country telling me I had to renew immediately or my bill was going up almost $40/month effective immediately. I asked the agent for a lesser plan at a lower cost due to financial hardship. She agreed and I got a much slower internet plan. Only I found out today that the slower, weaker plan is still $25/month more than my old plan! Can't cancel and I'm now locked in for 2 years. Thanks for absolutely nothing. Will never be using you as a provider again once my contract is up.
