Unlawfully and sneakily in an underhanded way requires proof of income to proceed with applications. They wasted my time until the units i was looking at were rented out even though they expressed concern i didnt have a job in the town im moving to. Once expressing this concern both my roommate and i secured a job in under 2 weeks and they still wanted more information from us despite having referrals and expressing we had the money to get into the rental for the move in date. Extensive and painful application greeted with even more discriminatory stalling and information gouging and refusing to proceed with applications even though we displayed anneagerness to meet expectations that they made a requirement (unlawfully i cant stress tht enough. See government tenancy site it clearly states that ID and proof of income can be asked for but can not be a requirement for rental) to proceed with application process. Not impressed. Entire time i didnt feel i was being taken seriously or like i was worth their time. it is illegal to require proof of income to move in. Reiterating this and ignoring your prospective tenants when trying to verify if this is the case is manipulative and underhanded. Their reply is more manipulation and way of sounding like they seriously considered me. I asked multiple times if proof of income was required to move in. They ignored every single email that had to do with this question and answered with that vague getting proof of income is a standard practice" sure. That's fine. But requiring it to acquire a suite is illegal. I hope everyone avoids renting from them eliminating the need for landlords to use them as well. Disgusting company."

PROPERTY OWNERS PLEASE BE AWARE:This company takes advantage of people and has horrible communication with renters.They are impossible to contact and do not return messages.They promise to take care of property damage including water damage and black mold prior to signing leases and then never do. Even with multiple years to handle these issues they aren't fixed.They scam people out of security deposits when properties are left in MUCH better condition than they were found.I wish this didn't sound like a scorned former tenant but I have spoken to several previous renters who have had the exact same experience and I feel like it is such a common problem with these property managers that it needs to be addressed.PLEASE consider your future renters before choosing these people.

We are very pleased with Nest Property Management. Very professional with friendly and competent staff. Greatly impressed with how quickly they respond to inquiries and the follow up provided. Highly recommend!

Nest Property Management is the worst realtors we have ever had to deal with. Blake does not answer his emails or phone calls, makes empty promises and treats you like a second class citizen. Unless it’s about them getting paid you can assume you won’t hear back from them for a month. The gave us the wrong keys when the old renters left and then said it was out job to find the correct ones. We needed to have damage fixed at the house and they REFUSED to use the damage deposit to fix damages. The past renters broke off a lock and we needed to get it replaced. Nest said it was our responsibility to fix it. I wish I could give them 0 stars. Please never use this company for any of your rental needs, they are the worst.

yeah it would be nice to talk to a human and not just a recording that sends you into a viscous loop im just trying to get my grass cut but then again this is the same company that took a year to change my furnace filter

It was my partner and I first time renting, and they are a great company. Price may be high but utilities was included and our place was renovated with everything up to date. Very nice place and the water worked great, it did not mess with both different units using water. (Old places with different units, the water usually turns cold or super hot when the other unit was using the water at the same time) this did not do that. Nest is great, they’re understanding and professional and they are pet friendly! Although it took sometime to have our dog with us but it worked out after. I’d definitely go back and recommend. I was a Tennant for one of the properties managed by them. I had terrible communication with them. They would just leave notes on the door and I had many unanswered emails and phone calls. I was promised work to be done when I moved in and it was never completed in 2 years. I also tried to organize, my walk out when I was there, but they were unable to make it and then charged me for things I disagree with. I was very accommodating to allow realtors in to show the house and always left it clean, but this was never acknowledged and instead took money off my damage deposit when I know I left it in better than move in condition. As a previous home owner , I would NEVER use this company.

I'm struggling to write this review because I want to make sure it captures how awesome the team at Nest has been. They have helped me and I want to help them in return. How about I take the emotion out of it and just say why they've made my investment in a rental property a great experience:-They keep a full inventory of the furnished unit I rent out, even counting the cutlery.-When a tenant moves out another is in there within a couple weeks, at a higher rent.-My tenants are happy. The great service isn't just for me, it's for them as well.-My tenants so far have been really good people.-I don't have to do anything. Nest takes care of it all. The last time a tenant moved out they just let me know a new one was in. Seamless.-The Nest staff are happy and helpful. I've worked with a lot of property managers as a member of strata council and as a landlord. I was used to speaking with overworked people who as a result were grouchy and apathetic. Everyone I've spoken to at Nest seems happy and has been really helpful.You don't have to take my word for it, if you're thinking of hiring a property manager just give them a call and start a convo. You can see for yourself.

Very unprofessional front desk staff.Seemed annoyed that I was there figuring out and asking a couple questions about how to rent.Also have done at least 3 online applications and called but no answer or call backs like they say they do. I've seen other people who are less qualified to rent get rentals get something before me. Definitely feel a bit discriminated against. Working professional who desperately needs a place for me and one dog. But as soon as they see that..they just ignore. No reasoning on meeting with me and dog or anything. Just straight up left on read everytime I message Blake about anything. Seems giving bad reviews gets better response time than applications. Very professional.

Blake and Alicia have taken care of my investment property as if it was their own. Since I am on the other side of the country, I can't emphasize how important having the right property manager can be, and Nest has proven to be the right PM for me. I truly feel as if my investment is on autopilot with Nest at the helm. Thank you!
