I recently hired Sipco to install an air conditioning unit in my home. The staff guided me to the right unit, and also managed to schedule a quicker than expected installation date. The workmanship was professional and tidy. I would recommend Sipco Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone looking for quality service in the Heating and AC trade.

This review comes after the first winter season following a major project carried out by Sipco: converting the house from fuel oil heating to natural gas, installing a new high-efficiency boiler in place of the century old coal-converted oil furnace, and determining and implementing a plan for heating the basement in the absence of the old furnace.I am absolutely delighted with the way things have turned out, and I would say that Sipco is one of the most trustworthy and experienced service providers in the GTA.First, there were extensive pre-contract consultations to figure out the best course of action. The quality of communication via phone and email was excellent, without delays. The work itself was performed exactly on schedule, with rigorous care and attention to detail. For the quality and quantity of the work, the pricing represented top value.I honestly can't imagine anyone doing a better job.

Hiring SIPCO was a major mistake that set back our home renovation by 4 months.Yarko Kaluc, Project Manager at SIPCO, visited our home in April of 2022 to quote on the installation of in-floor heat in the basement and the replacement of our old cast iron rads. We hired an HVAC designer to design the whole system in a way that made use of our existing equipment while minimizing the damage to walls and ceilings.Yarko was baffled by the scope of the work, ultimately suggesting the work was not possible and that we should scrap our new boiler and heat pumps in favour of installing a forced air system. We had been referred to SIPCO by the HVAC designer, so I called him back to double-check on the competency of SIPCO as it related to our job. The designer suggested that Yarko - although failing to understand the work - was not the installer, and that we could rely on the installers’ experience to perform the job. Reluctantly, we proceeded with SIPCO. We gave SIPCO a deposit of $10k plus HST.On June 1, 2022, SIPCO installed the PEX pipes for the basement floor - one day of work - and never completed any additional work.On August 29, 2022, Andrew, the owner of SIPCO, called to tell me they’d be breaching our contract, that they would charge for the work completed and then simply walk away.At this point we had waited 90 days for SIPCO to do the agreed-upon work. The delay meant that we had to live in construction mess without our laundry facilities. Our other contractors had to be rescheduled and our property and garage used as a storage facility for construction materials and garbage.SIPCO had all kinds of excuses: Yarko’s child was being baptized, Andrew was busy selling off pieces of the SIPCO company and administering his late father’s estate; all details no customer should have to care about. Andrew even attended a meeting on site with the designer and my other contractor to rectify SIPCO’s concerns and get the job on track. Andrew showed up unprepared and spent a good deal of time on his phone with someone else.Of course, SIPCO blamed my other contractor and pointed fingers at everyone else. Their main objection seemed to be that they could not access the areas they needed to complete the work.But here’s the real kick in the teeth:We eventually hired another contractor who completed the entire job in 9 days, never once making mention of Yarko & Andrew’s objections - and the new contractor completed the whole job for 25% less than what Yarko quoted. I kept asking the new contractor if they required any demolition done before they would start - they declined and told me the job was straight-forward and that I ought to stop worrying. When I explained Yarko and Andrew’s objections, the new contractor laughed and said, “it sounds like SIPCO was in over their heads…”Yarko’s original quote left out statutory forms that contractors are supposed to issue with their quotations, and the scope of services did not include removing the old radiators. The company that ultimately did the job went by the book and took care of everything, including the removal of the old rads.I can only speculate as to what happened: Yarko & Andy wanted our job but could not find the appropriate installation crew as they do rely on out-sourced labour. So they did nothing and sat on our money.In my final discussion with Andy, which I recorded on my iPhone, he once again blamed us and threw a bunch of non-sequiturs in my face. Ultimately, he admitted to letting go of the day-to-day operations of SIPCO as we was too distracted by other events in his life.Use this company at your own risk. In the end, I was forced to decide between suing for specific performance of our contract versus letting SIPCO breach the contract with minimal consideration given to us as a result. We did manage to recover our deposit, less the cost of the work performed and no apology nor consideration was ever offered to us.I’d give zero stars if I could…

We have just built our dream home and there was no question our using Sipco Heating and Oil for our heating and cooling needs. I and family members have used them in the past and have always had prompt, courteous service at a competitive price.Our new home is larger, therefore different needs. We were given ample direction, suggestions with patience and understanding that goes with making decisions on such a lengthy project.Sipco was involved from duct work installation, heating, cooling, air exchange, everything we needed for our new home.We were given excellent service. Any question or concern was just a phone call away.Thank you to the whole Sipco team.

Andy and his team are fantastic. Our boiler died the evening of Dec 23rd. Andy was at our house within a couple of hours of our call on Dec 24th, and we had a thorough quote the same day. The quote was very competitively priced and much more detailed than another quote we had.We decided to go with Sipco and the installers were onsite 8:00am the next business day (Dec 27) to install the new boiler. The workmanship and attention to detail was impeccable. The installers stayed until 10pm to complete the work so that we wouldn't have to go another night without heat -- super dedicated! And even at that late hour, the cleanup was thorough. The new Weil-McLain boiler and hot water heater are working like a charm. Can't say enough good things about Sipco -- we highly recommend them!

Over the years, they maintained and repaired our old furnace, installed a new high-efficiency furnace, and now more recently, installed a new air conditioning system. Andy Stasiw responded within a day to our request for a quote to install a new SpacePak A/C.It took Igor, Greg and Andrew 3 full days to install the unit and repair several ducts and drainage pipes in a small attic space.They thoroughly cleaned up every afternoon before they left.We couldn't be happier with the quality of the job and overall service!

We had to change our old oil heating system to gas and had been dreading doing so for fear that it was too big of a job. We had a large oil tank and a very old large boiler that had to be removed. Sipco handled the entire job from beginning to end seamlessly and we couldn't be happier. They were extremely efficient, clean, polite and did a fantastic job! During the recent hot temperatures, my air conditioner which was relatively old, quit working and needed to be replaced. I was recommended by a friend to Andrew Stasiw at Sipco Heating and Air Conditioning Ltd. Andrew provided timely response for a home visit, answered all my questions, prepared a detailed quote and facilitated installation of a new air conditioner and furnace units within 24 hours. The installers, Julian and Javor were excellent. They completed the installation within a reasonable time with utmost diligence and efficiency. Lara , office manager was very helpful and responded to my calls and questions in a timely manner. I am extremely satisfied with the units a nd the service provided by this company. No longer suffering in the sweltering heat. My sincere thank you to Andrew, Lara, Julian and Javor. Very Happy customer!
