based on my own personal experience for the past (3) years , the servers here ( Nikki , Beth & another nice lady) have been quite nice to me. I love eating solid & delicious Cantonese food like their Hot pot eggplant with shredded pork , fried beef with gai-lan , house special chow-mein , deep fried garoupa with vegetables & beef with vegetables.all of the above goes well with their house special fried rice and you can try their wonton soup for a starter before digging on your healthy lunch or dinner. It's a small restaurant not highly sophisticated but it's like home away from home for me. It's quiet and not so crowded where you and your family can enjoy eating your food and have a nice conversation while sipping your hot tea & having a nice meal.

I went to Sam Wok back in the day and it eventually became my comfort food. The staff were always so friendly and great to enjoy the food. I've since moved away but in a return trip, I visited Sam Wok again 8 years later and the food / service is still grade A. Highly recommend visiting this gem and trying for yourself.

Very traditional Hong Kong style food, chief is old school, likes to use high temperature flame (the traditional right way) to cook the food. I haven't tried such traditional flavor for very long time in Edmonton. Price is surprisingly good compare to their very large dish portion. I really like the pineapple sweet and sour pork (unlike other restaurants, here u got almost no pineapple but lots of meat). Very crispy on the outside but soft meat inside.

I always love coming here, not only are the food tasty, they're services is great. Highly recommended. They make the best sweet and sour pork in the city.

A little run down. food is still great after all these years. Haven't been there since 2000 .Could use an upgrade in the dining Area But. Food Is still? Awesome. PS. I'm very picky on food.

Wow very traditional taste of Hong Kong food. Feels like I'm back in Asia sitting in the street enjoying the food. Will go back for sure. Price is really really reasonable and food is so delicious ☺️ see their antique cash machine, can I tell how long they have been in business?

Got the “combination a” as I wasn’t sure what I wanted- VERY IMPRESSED a lot of food for under $16. Cooked perfectly, fried rice had an amazing flavour. Saucy ginger beef. Lots of veggies none of them soggy.. I’ll definitely be back. Hours are great too
