Riverbend Hairstyling and Barbershop

I’ve been getting my cut and colour done with Ruth and Angela at Riverbend for years. I do all kinds of vivid and unusual colours in my long hair and they always take great care to make sure we have an aligned vision and to give me a realistic idea of what it will take to get my hair from, for example, green and blue ombré to silver with slices of pink and purple. We work together on the product choices and they make sure we have the result I wanted. Love them so much!

Highly recommended for CURLY HAIR. I have been looking for a good curly hairdresser for 8 years, ever since my old one relocated. Angela was amazing- found every cowlick and obscure part in my hair, and was incredibly knowledgeable. I am so impressed with the quality. I have found my new hairdresser, forever. My cut was $55, and was better than anything I have had at Eveline Charles or Coco et Blanco.The best part though, was the atmosphere. Lots of laughs, and the studio was clean, and continuously being swept. I was immediately greeted and offered tea or coffee. Laundry is done on site. Everyone appeared glad to be at work, and definitely passionate about their jobs.My partner had been in the week before me, and was a little surprised at the cost of a men's haircut- $30. However, as he also has curly hair, and does not get a simple buzz cut, it was worth the price. His hair lies predictably with minimal effort in the morning, and he loves it. He is also going to return.So, in summary, THE BEST HAIRCUT EVER IN THE CUTEST SHOP WITH AMAZING PEOPLE. You'd be stupid not to try, especially if you have curly hair.

Ruth has been doing our haircuts for myself and two sons for over 12 years. She is friendly, professional and is always accommodating for our hectic schedules. We greatly appreciate her service.

Hands down Ezzy is the Number Master barber in Edmonton. This man pays attention to detail and will have you feeling like a million bucks by the time your out of the shop. 100000% recommend to go check them out

I get all my kids and my self hair cut here our hair always looks and feels the best after leaving! simply the best cut without spending an arm and a leg. The people are friendly and definitely know what they are doing will definitely continue coming back time and time again!!!

I've attended this little shop for a long time, perhaps 10 years, and have always enjoyed not only the quality of the service and haircuts, but the staff is fun and friendly. Ruth and Angela are great people, and take the time and care their customers expect. I tend to make appointments, but occasionally there are walk-in spots available. A great local business that really deserves the cred it gets!

I decided to try out a new place and stumbled across this shop - no regrets at all. My barber worked with my hairstyle perfectly and cut it exactly how I was hoping he would. Very friendly staff that can have great conversations to pass time. I highly recommend this shop if you have a specific style in mind, they’ll actually listen without the “but it would look better if we…” and nail the look you hoped for. Lastly, the prices are very affordable. Will definitely be returning!

This place is a gem. The ladies are very friendly and talented! I have curly hair and Angela has always done a great job with cuts, highlights and styling. She has even brought products in for me and helped me brainstorm ideas for formal occasions. These ladies have all of the talent of the fancy salons without the large pricetag!

I'm a young dude and I've been getting my hair cut by Ruth for years now. It's always a great time chilling and chatting with her and at the end of it my hair comes out looking real fresh. Highly recommended experience.
