Park Lake
A quiet place in the early morning and a beautiful place to spend a pleasant camping night with family or friends, but in the afternoon it turns into a place full of vitality and activity, many visitors come to it because of the presence of the beach and to enjoy swimming under the sun in the open air. I recommend visiting it as soon as you can.

⚠️ WARNING!!! ⚠️ There are hair snakes (a hair-like worm parasite) swimming rampant in this water!!! Would recommend staying OUT of this water!!!! The lake is beautiful to look at though. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t infested with parasites!!!

Nice place in the summer! Also have camping site in the forest near the lake. It’s a beautiful view .

Nice trails, there does seem to be a lack of staff for enforcing park rules (had really loud partiers at the group site) and the hand sanitizers were empty in the facilities.

The good, Great camping, nice playgrounds, nice lake, very shallow wading, inflatables, SUP and Kayaks. The concession was closed the weekend of July 21, seems like it is permanently out of service. The issue with the lake for fishing or swimming is weeds; lots and lots of weeds anywhere past the swimming area. I took my boat with the intent of fishing. It was near impossible, the only place there were not weeds to the surface was in the 20’ deep holes on the lake and those seemed to have, you guessed it, weeds to about 10’ down below. I am sure there are a pile of fish in this lake, hard to catch with the combination of weeds and wind.

Park lake is nice but definitely busier with people and the road that runs nearby. We took the hike around the lake but it doesn't go all the way around. The water tap was close enough to top up the tank when needed with a 100' hose. The lake is good enough for swimming and the concession has really good icecream. On the hike we came across a pair of Great Horned Owls.

Driving in, I was worried about the location, but ended up being pleasantly surprised. The campground is a great size, not too large, small enough that our kids could walk around on their own without fear of getting lost. There are two playgrounds, and a great lake for swimming with a beach that is not too crowded, and enough trees to make you feel like you are out in the wilderness.

Stayed for one night, had a great site right on the lake with a lovely view. Shop was closed which seemed odd for a hot day in summer but overall it was a great little stopover with a nice beach. Didn't use the washrooms so can't comment on the cleanliness but the campground itself was good

We usually go to boat launch for a swim. Kids jump off the dock. Dock is usually not busy and some shade to hide in
