Boiler Room Climbing Gym

The Boiler Room is a fantastic climbing gym. I used to climb at their old location, which was cozy and nice, but not a lot of space. At the new gym, there are PLENTY of routes, whether you want to lead climb, boulder or top rope, they have it all. The only thing missing is the routes don’t change too frequently, but it’s not so much of a problem when there are so many routes to try!

I love this place. It's too much fun. I like all the different bouldering routes and how often they get changed up to provide new problems. The staff are friendly and helpful.I really wish you'd give us some fresh autobelay routes!

Great place to learn a new skill and get some exercise while spending time with friends and family. Their new location is bigger with more options for different climbing styles, although I do think that the super tall chimney(?) climb will be missed by many.

Loved the old one, new one is better. If you have not climbed, and think that it is too much, they have area's for every skill level. It is good fun and make sure you stretch before AND after. LOVE IT.

This is the 8th gym that I have held a membership at and is now the gym I climb at ~twice a week during the colder months.It is a beautiful clean space with pretty much any training option you could hope for. Membership prices are totally fair. The boulders are set well, varied and fun. If you want to boulder and train this place is great. Would give it 5 stars with this alone.That being said, the roped climbing is kind of a joke. Resets are rare, and every surface is overhung resulting in very little variety and super inconsistent grading. Every climb is straight up and featureless. Not sure why the gym was designed this way. Totally vanilla - no corners, aretes, slabs etc.The lead wall feels gatekeepy. Everything is just super overhung, burly, and again featureless. It would be cool to see some of the less overhung walls get draws to lead.Mixed vibes on the staff. After getting turbo-pumped on a 5.8"!? during my lead test

I have been to 5 different climbing gyms in Ontario. I only give Boiler Room a 3/5 based on what I have experienced, despite it being my home gym now.Pros,1. The gym's square footage is big. It's got big walls for lead climbing and tons of bouldering options. Haven't tried lead climb so I'm not sure how often they refresh the routes.2. There is a fitness center in the gym where you can find most of the gears and accessories to train for climbing strength and stretch after the workout. I'm very happy about this.Cons,1. I have gotten my membership for about a month and half now and I climb twice a week. They didn't really change the autobelay wall or top roping walls since I first went there. I hope they can refresh the routes more often.2. I would give the cleanness a thumbs down compared with other gyms I've been to.

Awesome staff, great place to hang out and work on problems with some friends.

First time visiting as an adult and it was so much fun! Instructor was informative, patient and funny. You can go at your own pace so you never feel rushed. Best to look at the online busy meter" to see how busy it is before trekking in. As a small group of friends
