Chickpeace Zero Waste Refillery

It's amazing to find out that buying from stores like this is actually very reasonable. Their prices are often cheaper than buying pre-packaged items in the store which I love. They have a great bulk section and also a great selection of zero waste kitchen and bathroom tools.

Awesome selection of products for the house and everyone in the family. They make it so easy to start reducing product waste and the fact they have free delivery to Westbank once a week is icing on the cake. Very grateful for this local gem!

They have lots of zero waste essentials! I bought a toothbrush, floss and tongue scraper and they’ve all held up nicely! I also bought the Lindo Eco-Friendly Detangler Hair Brush. It’s affordable and worth every penny! Glides through hair beautiful, it doesn’t pull or rip hair out. Extremely easy to clean! Even more impressive that’s it’s biodegradable as well!

I love their compost program! This was the one thing missing in my sustainability program when I first moved to Kelowna. Chickpeace has now helped me go down to one bag of garbage every 1-2 weeks. Staff are always friendly as well!

I can't say enough good things about Chickpeace. I was hesitant to try them after a poor experience with a different zero waste store but am so glad I finally bit the bullet. I have ordered from them at least 7 times now either for their local delivery or in-store pickup. They have really nailed making zero waste shopping an enjoyable and feel luxurious while being extremely economical (see their price comparisons on instagram). They have incredible customer service both in store and online. I always look forward to ordering from Chickpeace!

I love shopping at Chickpeace! I’ve been slowly replacing single-purchase items and replacing them with refillable alternatives. Not only is the quality fantastic and I feel great about the environmental impact of my purchases, but the prices by comparison are very reasonable! I’ve been working through my pantry, cleaning and laundry supplies, and beauty products. I love bringing my own jars to refill and browsing in store, or ordering online for delivery when I can’t make it in. The delivery is quick and easy, and I love that I can select a paper bag or returnable jar online to minimize waste. Ordering online and picking up is also super convenient.All the staff are so friendly and helpful, overall a great experience every time !

Allisha and the team have done such an incredible job growing and nurturing this absolutely necessary business in our community - and through a pandemic, yet!! I really love this place as you can get all dry goods for baking, cooking, cleaning, and hygiene without the packaging. I just wish the government would enforce this no packaging model in regular grocery stores. It would definitely encourage the regular consumer to reduce their waste. I think we don't know how much waste we really generate until we try to tackle the zero waste philosophy. Thank you for caring for our planet and doing your part chickpeace!
